Warp tour!

Y/n looked out the window and to the stars. The human pondered about what, or even who, they were now up against. It was... sad, what if they never win? What if the diamonds shatter the gems and kill the two humans?

Y/n was jolted back to reality. Their cell phone rang, it was a call from Steven. "It's 12 in the morning... what does he even.."

"Hey Steven."

"N/n! I need your help!"

"Do you know how late it is?"

"Pleaaaaaaaaaa-"

"Only if I can spend the night. I don't want to come back home this late. Give me some time to pack."

Y/n walked down the boardwalk to Steven's house. They briefly "hallucinated" and saw fire all over the sand. "H-huh?" They blinked and then saw nothing.

Y/n came inside the house and saw Steven with a water gun.

"I'm sure I saw a monster using the galaxy warp and nobody believed me!"

"Oh. Well, I believe you. Your plan is a stakeout?"

"Yeah!"

"Cool."

Y/n quietly placed their bag on the couch and manifested their own sword. Steven sat down near the door, Y/n sat on the couch.

"Steven! Y/n! We have a surprise for you." Pearl poked at Steven. He woke up and drenched Pearl.

"Oh, Pearl."

"Now you're not getting any cookies." Garnet spoke.

"Cookies? I want some!" Y/n shot up tiredly and munched on a few from the tray. "These are mine, Amethyst."

"D'aww."

"I'm sorry Pearl, I guess we just didn't sleep... N/n gets territorial when they're hungry." Steven pointed out as Y/n chased Amethyst into the bathroom.

"Oh, Steven! This isn't about the thing you think you saw outside the warp stream yesterday, is it?" The soaked gem asked.

"But it was real! Something was warping somewhere in the warp!" Steven shot back.

Pearl put her hands on Steven's cheeks and reminded him that "Nothing can use the warp pad besides us."

"I'm confident Pearl is right. But if it'll make you feel better, we can just go check."

"I'll just nap here, is that cool?" Y/n yawned.

"Y/n believes you, right? They should come check too." Pearl asserted.

"You're crazy if you think I'm getting up from this couc-"

Checking the warps took all day, when the gems got to the Galaxy warp an argument sputtered up. Y/n noticed Steven looking dejectedly at their Crying Breakfast Friends sticker.

"Oh, man! Finally! That took all day." Amethyst commented.

"It was important to make Steven feel secure." Garnet explained.

"Yes, Steven feels much better now." Pearl assured.

"Why are you, as a gem, commenting on how a human child feels?" Y/n asked.

"Exactly! I'm a little tired... of you guys telling me how I feel! I know I saw something outside the stream!" Steven exclaimed.

"And I know you didn't!" Pearl shot back.

"I'm with Steven on this one. A warp stream is kind of hard to mistake even with blurry vision!" The human argued.

Pearl and Steven continued to bicker for at least a minute.

"Uh, this is new. I kind of like it." Amethyst commented.

"Steven, you just don't know what you're talking about." The tall gem rolled her eyes.

"It sounds like... maybe... YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Steven yelled.

Garnet got in between Pearl and Steven to deescalate. "Okay, Steven and Y/n, that's enough. Let it go."

Steven sat in front of the warp pad. Y/n sat on the couch and looked towards him and the warp pad. Amethyst tried to comfort Steven, but she didn't want to hang out with a "sad sack."

"Ugh! Why am I doing this? Fine. I give up! Steven was wrong and everyone else was right! Nothing's going to come through that warp pad!" Steven exclaimed.

Y/n and Steven's eyes widened when a sphere shot down through the roof and walked to the warp pad.

"You were the thing in the warp pad! You did come from space!" Steven laughed.

"Steven! It's going for the warp pad!" Y/n summoned a three-headed flail and followed Steven.

Steven made an effort to stop the spherical robot but it activated the warp pad, dragging Steven and Y/n into the warp. "This'll be easy, all that I need is a clean hit.."

Y/n spoke too soon; More sphere robots flooded the warp and Y/n couldn't smash them all in time. Steven was pushed out of the warp, Y/n leapt out to grab him but was pulled back in.

Y/n was in the galaxy warp, they saw at least 50 robots fixing a giant warp in the center of the area. Soon, a gem warped from the homeworld warp and saw the human.

"State your name and purpose!" The gem exclaimed.

Y/n formed a scythe and got into a battle stance. "No, you state your name and purpose. Or I'll... shatter you."

Peridot's fingers formed a plasma cannon and started to charge them. She fired at Y/n which they blocked with ease. The human slashed at her leg enhancers which left a deep gash. "You dare?!"

The two heard a warp, Y/n looked behind to see the Crystal gems, Peridot ran off to a warp pad.

"Log date 3 1 2, this is Peridot! Warp repair was successful, all Flask Robonoids accounted for, but the site has been compromised!" The green gem warped somewhere but left a green stone which deactivated the rest of the robonoids.

"They're coming back. I can't do this." Pearl for once looked afraid for something that wasn't a human.

"We're dead! We are so dead!" Amethyst said.

"It doesn't matter. She isn't coming back!" Garnet smashed the galaxy warp with a gauntlet. Y/n still felt heavy unease.
