Prompt:

"I told you this was going to happen! What are we going to do with all these bodies?"

"Guys, it'll be fine, just, uhhhh, shove them under the bed."

"Wow. Great Idea."

"This is a twin mattress, Susan, not a king-size bed." Matthew rolled his eyes.

Susan lifted the bed and revealed a hidden door. But when she opened it, a bunch of rats scurried out.

"Eww rats!" Matthew cried, as he saw the rats that were behind the door. After Matthew shooed away the rats, they discovered an old wooden chest inside the hidden door. They also discovered a bunch of bones—human bones—sticking out of the over-full chest.

"What is this place?" Matthew asked.

Susan ignored his question, choosing to approach the chest as though suddenly possessed by a horror movie protagonist.

"Susan?" Matthew felt something strange when she approached the chest. The fact that someone else already had the marvelous idea to hide some bodies there did not mean they should too.

"I felt someone's presence in the room which isn't me or you," Susan replied.

And that made you walk closer! Mathew thought, outraged.

They heard footsteps which sounded peaceful, like a lion stalking an injured gazelle, knowing it had caught its prey.

"Keep a lookout," Susan said to Matthew and walked towards the chest to open it as she was curious. There was a sound, like a rattle coming from the chest.

"I don't think you should open the chest, Susan," Matthew said. "The footsteps get louder— WE HAVE TO GET OUT AT THIS INSTANCE!"

The sound was the rats, back for their revenge.

"It's just some rats," Mathew muttered, relieved, but Susan screamed at the top of her lungs as she hated rats. "Oh for the love of—" Mathew picked up a bone and smacked Susan before she attracted more rats.

"Wait, you're not holding a stick—you're holding a bone!" Susan cried as she was wacked by the bone, and fainted.

The bone was from a corpse that was long dead, which freaked Matthew out.

Suddenly Danny DeVito showed up. He came up and said, "What are you guys doing there?" Meanwhile Mathew put his hands on the chest, ready to open it.

"No, don't do it; there is a baby inside!" Susan screamed hysterically.

"A baby?" Danny asked.

Susan sobbed, screaming about the baby as Matthew continued to open the chest. Matthew accidentally opened the baby, which was actually a robot being controlled by Remi the rat.

"Hello there!" the talking rat said as it was sitting down on the robot baby. "I need some parts to fix my robot baby. Will you help me out?"

Before anybody could respond, they noticed the walls were crumbling cookie dust. Matthew caught a cookie, tried it, and asked Remi if he had made it because it tasted amazing. Then Susan whacked him with a huge cookie.

"Well," Remi said, "I didn't do that. It seems that Danny DeVito has powers—he must have done it." The rat summoned a huge cookie from out of the blue and stuffed it down its tiny gullet. But he choked to death on the cookie, and everyone, even Susan and Danny DeVito, were very sad.

A few weeks later, Susan and Matthew, stood in front of the Remi's gravestone with Danny DeVito on his knees beside it, crying, as the dark clouds above wept with them.

The end.
