WEEK 128

Prompt:

"Well, this is a nice change of scenery."

"It's a prison cell."

"I was being sarcastic."

"I thought you were above sarcasm, you've always been so uptight until you got here."

"Have I?"

"Yes, you have. Other than our scenery, what's changed?"

"The food—it's horrible."

"Oh, is it, honey?"

"You put an extra comma there, and it's not honey :)"

"Well, I'll be darned, 'cause I thought we were an item."

"Enough talk, we need to break out of here!"

"I'm not teaming up with you, not after this."

"Well, I hate to break it to you, but you need ME!"

"Meeee! Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh!"

"What are you, a monkey? C'mon, follow my lead."

"Well, the writers haven't said who any of us are and have only been writing in dialogue, so I could be a monkey for all I know."

"Yo writers, give us some bodies or something!!!"

So the first person has turned out to be a gorilla and the second a turtle. The sloth slowly scratched her chin before nodding.

"I am also a character now," said the sloth.

Then entered the guard, a giant grizzly bear who held a tray of horrible prison food.

"Yo, here's that Burger King you ordered."

The sloth slowly held it up to her lips and consumed it. The Burger King burger started to talk. "Revenge! Revenge for all burger kind!"

"Hey, does anyone even know why we're in jail in the first place?" asked the turtle.

The Burger King fries chased all the animals with a plastic knife, but they continued talking.

"Probably something to do with eating the horrible burgers here," the gorilla said.

"Why would I want to eat those awful burgers?"

"Because we were hungry?"

And that revelation solved every problem thus far.
