Once stepping into the room, the bathroom's bright light made Athanasia feel like she was trapped, and all the assertiveness, and authority were abandoned when the bathroom door was closed.

Athanasia looked over to find Lucas as water started filling the bathtub. He had his sleeves rolled up, testing the water with his fingers. Thereafter, he poured the rose extraction from the bottle into the water, then added Athanasia's shampoo, creating a faint floral smell along with a cozy, pleasant warmth ascended into the air throughout the bathroom.

On his shoulders, there were three pieces of towel. Two big ones and an extra shorter, definitely for her hair.

Lucas had always been considerate in any regard of preparation for her bath much of late.

Athanasia started to notice how eager he was to climb up the stairs to their room and disappeared for a while only to come back outside with a huge grin on his face. He could never be able to hide his excitement of wanting to see her reaction when Athanasia reached the room. Yet he would wait quietly for her to peek her head to the bathroom where the warm bath was prepared for her.

"A little something for you after a rough day at work," he would tell her and then disappeared down the stairs, off to another task which was preparing food for two.

Athanasia wondered if Lucas had asked Lilian about this sort of details but she was skeptic if it was really Lilian's idea. She may have grown up with her godmother, but when she went to study abroad, she led a humble life without the usual care of the servant. She never treated Lilian like one. Hence, she would grow to take care of herself and leave the cooking and the rest of the housework to Lilian.

As she was drifting off, Lucas' voice, calling out her name, brought her back to reality.

Lucas rose from his kneeling position and began walking toward her. "Are you going to shower with all these clothes on?" he asked, eyeing her from head to toe.

Athanasia shuddered slightly from the question and the close proximity. Her hands instinctively cover her body.

Lucas smirked at her reaction before removing his shirt swiftly. Athanasia's eyes moved across his torso, taking in every detail.

Lucas was amused by Athanasia's fixation on his physique, so he rested his hand on his belt but made no attempt to undress further.

"If you keep looking at me like I'm a plate of food, I might as well change the course of the meal and give you an appetite to your satisfaction."

Athanasia gasped and quickly spun around, displaying her normal reaction.

"I wasn't looking at you!"

Athanasia heard his distinctive 'Heh' and the sound of the belt buckling, as well as the rustle of the garments.

The hitherto running water had also ceased, and was replaced by a gushing sound. Everything remained still for two seconds until Athanasia slowly shifted around so she could look behind her.

Lucas was already in the bathtub, with his chest submerged. He winked at her while resting his elbow on the tub's edge and his temple on his balled fist.

"Hurry and get in. Get that shampoo as well," Lucas added, tilting his head towards the bottle in front of Athanasia. "I will wash your hair. Nothing more than that. I promise."

Athanasia chewed her bottom lips to hide her humiliation. Her face burned bright red as she moved over to the sink, where she'd left her body wash and shampoo.

Athanasia reached for the bottle and turned around slowly. She looked anywhere but Lucas' face.

"Can you... Close your eyes first?" She asked, clutching her shampoo to her chest.

The room fell silent again. Athanasia sneaked a glance to the front. Lucas' eye twitched slightly as he stared at her blankly.

"Really, Athy?"

"It's embarrassing!!"

"Athy... Stop acting like we haven't fucked—"

"Just close your eyes!"

Lucas huffed with defeat. He closed his eyes, smiled, and relaxed his posture as if he were taking a sleep in the tub.

"No peeking!"

"I swear if you don't get in the tub in the next ten seconds, I'm gonna revoke the agreement earlier and—"

Lucas stopped talking as he heard the rustling of the clothing.
