Chapter 10: mom?

Teeth walked into a hidden spot in the parking lot and let out a breath of hot air. The breath looks like a small cloud in the cold air of the night. He leaned against the brick wall with a cigarette. The doc took another huff of the cigarette and let out a ball of smoke. “Lips?” Teeth said as he looked over to the turn of the brick wall. Lips poke his head around the counter and look at his band leader. “Yes?” replied the blonde male as he walked over to the doc. “What are you doing  here?” asked Teeth as he cocked an eyebrow. “I was sleeping until I heard you walking out of the hotel room. I followed you here to make sure you were okay” replied Lips as he was now next to the band leader. “I’m…Fine” replied Teeth as he took another smoke. “No, no, you’re not,” replied Lips with a worried look on his face. Teeth looked at the blonde male with a confused look on his face. “What-” said the doc before Lips cut him off. “Something is wrong. I can tell. I can tell it from the events recently but also that we are here in your hometown…” the blonde male said before he stopped and took a breath. He continued. “I don’t know much of your past since I was barely around after I joined but I can tell it wasn’t good. Janice told me some about your past which the things that happen are just horrible! I want to help you. Don’t hurt yourself by hiding what is wrong” said Lips, it looked like he was going to cry. Teeth were dead silent. He didn’t know how to respond to the things his trumpet player said. Suddenly Lips felt himself being hugged by the doc. Teeth let a river of tears fall down his face as he hugged his trumpet player. “Let it out” said Lips softly as he hugged his friend back. He felt some blush on his cheek from comforting the doc. “Thank you” said the band leader and he wiped some tears away from his face as he stopped hugging the blonde male. “Your welcome” replied the trumpet player. “We should head inside before everyone else comes out here” said Teeth as he and Lips leave the brick wall. They both head inside the hotel and to their rooms. “Goodnight” said Lips with a soft smile on his face. “Goodnight” replied Teeth with a smile on his face that made his gold tooth shine in the moonlight. The rest of the night went well since everyone fell asleep well. In the morning, Teeth decided to make the band and his cousin some breakfast. He made some blueberry pancakes with some bacon. The smell of the food filled the hotel room, it was like walking into heaven. Zoot woke up to the smell of the bacon and pancakes and quickly got up. “What cooking?” asked the small male with a smile on his face. “Blueberry pancakes with some bacon” replied the doc as he flipped the pancake over. Teeth was in a robe that the band packed for him since he sleeps in them a lot. The robe was a royal blue with gold spots over it. He also had some sweatpants on with a pair of bunny slippers. The doc also had his long hair into a man bun. Meanwhile, Zoot had on a tank top with a leopard printed pair of underwear on. The band doesn't question where he got it.  The blue male sat down at the table and waited for the heaven like food. Floyd came around the corner and took a good sniff of the air. “That smells good!” said the red haired male. He was wearing a t- shirt with some shorts and had his hair in a ponytail. Janice followed right behind Floyd, she was wearing a nightgown that had flowers on it. Animal came in with his ripped up shirt and shorts, Lips came in with a white tank top with sweatpants. Monty finally came in only in some pants. The band group ate their breakfast and got dressed to head out.  Teeth, Floyd, and Lips all head to the store for some things for the road. Teeth was grabbing some chips while Floyd and Lips were grabbing some other snacks and drinks. “Leon?” said a voice behind him. He turned around and his eyes got wide as he realized who it was. “Mom?” replied the doc as some tears in the corner of his eyes. “Leon!” replied his mother as she gave him a big hug. “I miss you, mom” replied Teeth as he let some tears fall down his face. “Me too” replied Lisa as she hugged her son tightly.
