She always hated living by the water. The sound of seagulls always kept her distracted and anxious. Waves from the water became frequent when a storm was amiss, and it ruined everything.

Her parents told her to not worry about college. They'd support her, and pass down an inheritance once one of them died. Y/N wasn't fond of the idea of being a leech, but hey; at least she could relax indefinitely.

Fresh out of high school, she wasn't sure what to do with all of her free time. Y/N tried to go shopping, but with no one to shop with, it became boring quickly. She tried to play online games, but none of them really enticed her. Even though she wasn't fond of living right by a private beach, she guessed that it wouldn't hurt to decompress in the sand for a while.

The time was well beyond midnight, and the moon above reflected over the sea. Y/N sat on a towel, and held a drink in her hand. She didn't have anything to do except just watch the water. With it being summer, it wasn't that cold. Y/N was satisfied with how she felt.

It almost felt as if she was waiting for something to happen. Would a ship sink near? Could she see a whale jump out of the water?

After keeping her eyes peeled for a long while, she didn't have the energy to go back to the house. Instead, she opted to fall asleep on the towel. She would of preferred to have a blanket, but the stars above lured her to sleep anyway.

It waited until her series of breaths slowed down evenly, and then emerged. The creature wobbled on its new legs, but was still able to quietly sneak it's way to where the girl laid asleep.

It had waited a long time for this opportunity to arise, it thought that she would never venture out towards the sea. It knew of her distaste for the ocean.

She was in a deep sleep; very unlikely to stir. The creature laid beside her, and admired her features. It loved the way she looked. All of it's kind never looked as beautiful as she did. She was a diamond in the ocean.

It carefully raked its claws through her hair, mewling at the soft and dry texture. The creature had never been this close to a human other than the purpose of enjoying a meal. Humans were so delicate, and easy to damage. Their features could either be fairly appealing, or horrifying. It liked everything about her.

Leaning down, it couldn't resist feasting with its eyes. Her skin glowed under the moon, and her lips were plump and flushed. It wouldn't hurt to steal a kiss, would it?

Going against the logical thoughts, it quickly sealed her lips with its own. It's heart quivered with a newfound feeling; lust.

It noticed that she was starting to wake, and quickly waddled back to the water and watched from behind an array of rocks. She had slowly sat up, and scratched her head. Rolling up her towel and taking her belongings, she went back inside the house.

The creature stayed behind to make sure she was safe, and then went back to its own home. It was nothing special; an arrangement of shells were assorted into a neat collection, a few odds and ends it had found on humans were in a pile, and then her.
