"Tomura, did you want another apple?"

The said boy laid under the tree, enjoying the wind that blew through his hair. He had ate about two or three apples, full from the sweet fruit. Seeds were stuck in between his teeth, which he occasionally spat out.

Y/N was trying her best to climb up the tree and grab the last remaining apple, but she wasn't tall enough. Her shoes kept slipping against the bark, and she winced as the wood dug into her palms.

Tomura sighed, debating on whether or not he should be the hero and help Y/N.

"These stupid trees are too high! I can't—!"

She lost her grip, tumbling down quickly. Tomura was there to catch her, as a result having the wind knocked out of him. Y/N giggled, patting her best friend on the head.

"Be careful, Y/N! What if you—"

"Shush, Tomura! When I get my own quirk, I'll save you instead."

That sparked a little something inside him. Y/N saving him? Please. Well, actually—Tomura liked the sound of her saving him one day. He already had a small crush on the girl, what else could hurt?

"Hey, Y/N? Where are you going to for vacation?"

Both of the children sat down, Y/N biting into the last of her apple. Tomura enjoyed the time away from home, even more so when he could spend it with Y/N. He didn't know what he'd do without her.

"Ah! I'm going to America I think—that's what my dad said, anyway. I wanted to stay with you instead, but he said no."

A little tingle in his chest appeared, before fading away.

Tomura couldn't respond, but instead wished in his mind that you could indeed stay. His father wouldn't allow friends over, but he'd find a way if it was for you.

The very next day, you were gone. He went into a panic, before remembering your vacation. It'll be fine, Tomura told himself. She'll be okay, he thought.

Then, you didn't come back. One year, two years, three and more. His master had already taken him, but he still found his thoughts swirling back to you. It was funny how you had expressed excitement over your quirk, while his turned out to be something you probably would've screamed at. Tomura wondered where you were now.

Your vacation was actually a surprise emigration, which you were extremely against. But it was too late, you were already on America soil. School sucked. The people sucked. Everything sucked. You wanted to go back home and see Tomura, but couldn't.

Freshly eighteen, you scraped up enough money to fly back to Japan. Your father of course reprimanded you, but so what? You were four when you left, so Tomura would be about twenty now. Would he still remember you?

Oh, yes. Yes he did.

His little interrogation with Midoriya left him satisfied, the distant look on his face making him shrivel with excitement. The talk about heroes made him queasy though, and he wanted something to eat. Tomura pulled his hood further down his face, peeking through the strands of hair that covered his vision.
