Dabi x Reader

It had been six months since she last saw him. The last memory she had of him, was when she had to desperately run outside of the hotel and into the street. Everything had been cast aflame, bathing the entire block in a hue of blue and white.
Y/N felt herself becoming increasingly fatigued, especially after it had been two months since she escaped. She had been working odd jobs, balancing a current schedule of a waitress and cashier. After bouncing from place to place, Y/N eventually found a small motel where the rent was cheap, yet the quality was nice. Every day, she'd retreat to her small home and thank the stars that no one was there to chain her down.
She was on shift until midnight at her waitress job, collecting dirty plates from surrounding tables. Her back ached, even more so since she started doing manual labor to make more money. Balancing a dozen plates on her palms, Y/N unloaded them into the sink to be washed.
Soothing the small kick she felt in her abdomen, Y/N couldn't help but feel a brief moment of sadness. Is this what life would look like for her in the coming years? The stress was too much, making her look withered and less beautiful than she once was. It hurt to look in mirrors, and see the roundness of her stomach that used to be shaped in the natural way from before.
The TV in the corner was blaring a local news broadcast, and the reporter was speaking on a mass destruction caused by villains. Y/N turned her head, bottom lip trembling when a snapshot of Dabi was shown on the screen. It was taken from afar from a bystander, but she could easily make out the patches of stapled, burned flesh.
He looked no different compared to that last night. Meanwhile, Y/N felt as if she looked like shit. She got to work on the dishes, hissing when multiple cuts reacted to the cleaning liquid.
After an hour, all of the dishes were completely washed, and left to dry in a rack. Y/N still had another two hours of her shift, and probably double the amount of dishes to later clean again. She held a hand under her abdomen as she walked back into the dining area, sighing when her feet began to ache.
Everyone sitting at the tables probably led easy lives; that was what Y/N thought. They didn't have to hide themselves away from society like some rat. The thought made her more upset, so she pushed the tears back down and continued to serve the customers.
If matters couldn't become worse, two people left their shift early. Y/N was now expected to take on the slack, already at her breaking point. Her entire body ached, and she just wanted to sit down. A nonstop cycle of taking orders, delivering, and then cleaning someone else's mess made her want to quit then and there.
The clock ticked midnight, yet the abundance of customers never slowed. If anything, they seemed to double. Table after table Y/N rushed to, making sure no one had room to complain. When she got to the last table, her entire body went stiff.
He went stiff, too. At first, he couldn't tear his eyes away from her face. His hands reached out to her, but then his eyes slowly drifted towards her stomach. It was then that Y/N took a step back, yet he abruptly stood.
"You're..."
Y/N quickly scurried towards the front door, bumping into random people and staff. She wasn't paying attention, hellbent on getting out of the restaurant. Another staff member bumped into Y/N, and the tray of drinks she held crashed to the floor.
