Katsuki Bakugou x Reader

You hardly knew any Japanese, but yet were excited to take the opportunity to live in Japan as a foreign exchange student. Your school said you would be living with one family who agreed to take you in.
The flight to Japan was long, but once you set foot into the country, the entire trip was worth it. Everything was so different from your own home country. The food, the culture, and the people were so vastly different. As a guide led you throughout the city, and towards your temporary family, you noticed how bright everything seemed even as the sun set.
The Bakugou residence was modest, and shaped just like any other average two-story home. Before you even entered the driveway, the door swung open. A tall, blond woman waved her arm to you.
"Y/N! It's so good to meet you! Come inside, my son and husband are waiting to meet you."
You were surprised at how she spoke your native language so easily. Well, that saved you some trouble. A blast of warm air greeted you upon stepping inside. Something spicy was brewing in the kitchen, making your nose burn. At the kitchen table were two men. The younger one looked just like the woman who first greeted you, so you assumed he was the son she spoke of. At the far left, the other man quietly sipped at his drink. His glasses threatened to slip down his nose at each movement.
The moment you sat down beside the son, something felt off. His eyes would flicker back and forth between you and the door. Mrs. Bakugou quickly prepared you a plate of what they were having, and then took a seat across from you.
"So, what do you think of Japan? Is it way different from your home country?" She asked, taking a bite from her plate. You cleared your throat to answer, but paused when something kicked your foot from under the table.
"Well, one thing that I really like is how vibrant the city is! It's-" you felt the pressure against your foot again, grimacing when it hurt more this time. "-Ah, I forgot what I was about to say. Is this your son?" The pressure went away, and you saw the boy stiffen.
His immediate frown made you almost want to leave the table. Something was off about his demeanor. He would constantly look back and forth between you and his plate full of food. His mother then answered your question, but you never heard her.
You noticed the way his father would twitch and scratch his neck. What was making him so nervous? A one sided conversation between Mrs. Bakugou and you ended when his glasses suddenly fell onto his plate.
Dinner was cut short, and sooner or later, you found yourself in one of the spare bedrooms upstairs. Katsuki's room was across from you, with his parent's room being beside yours. You stared up at the ceiling, hoping you would fall asleep soon. There was no other sound you could hear besides your own breathing. It was dark, and it made you feel uncomfortable.
Something thudded against the wall, and then you heard voices on the other side of the wall. Thinking someone was hurt, you quickly opened your bedroom door and stepped out into the hallway. Before you opened their bedroom door, your name being said made you pause.
"Mitsuki, it's not right! You didn't see the way he was looking at her! She needs to get out of here and-" another thud could be heard, and then Masaru scoffed.
"What does it matter? As long as he doesn't hurt her, I don't really see the problem. He chose her for a reason! We can't just send her back!" Both parents sighed, and you thought the conversation was over. You felt a strange ick knowing that you weren't just randomly picked to come stay with the Bakugou family. What did that boy want from you?
"I-I'm not worried for her safety! If she so much as looks at someone else, Katsuki is going to snap. Do you really want the law to rain down us? We can easily prevent this by arranging a flight for Y/N!"
It suddenly went quiet, and for a moment, you were worried for Katsuki's father. A door inside their room was quickly opened, and then shut.
"How do you think I was able to marry you, Masaru? I had to work to get what I wanted. Sometimes, it was messy. Other times, I was able to easily take care of the problem."
You froze, wondering if what she meant was sinister. Turning back to go to your room, you bumped into Katsuki. He had been watching you from his cracked door, him too hearing the conversation between his parents.
"I didn't think you were nosy. You looked more innocent in the application pictures, you know." His parent's argument must have woken him up due to his groggy voice and messed up hair. In the darkness, his red eyes gleamed with amusement.
"I-I didn't mean to eavesdrop, I'll go back to bed, I'm sorry-"
"-Stay in my room. Don't be shy."
You didn't want to, and so you grabbed the knob to your room. It wasn't turning. No matter how hard you tried to make it open, the door stayed locked in place.
"What did I just say? I wasn't fucking asking."
His room was larger than yours, and messy in some places. Unlike your room, he had two small nightlights on each side of his bed. They glowed brightly, yet it was still dark throughout the rest of the room.
"Are you going to just stand in the doorway?" He asked, sitting down on the edge of his bed. "Close the door, too. I don't want my parents being nosy like you were being earlier."
Immediate shame coursed through you. Your cheeks burned with embarrassment, but you listened to what he asked. The door was shut, and you walked to the other edge of the bed. Both of your backs were to each other, until you heard the bed creak.
You knew he was looking at you. The hair on your body stood up, and the uncomfortableness of it all was starting to make your head spin. First thing in the morning, you were taking the next flight to your home country.
"I didn't pick you just because you were pretty," he said, turning quiet towards the end. "you looked easy to control. I also just liked you anyway. I rarely like other people." He almost sounded embarrassed himself when confessing how he felt. You, on the other hand, felt afraid.
"...What do you mean picked? Aren't foreign exchange students supposed to be randomly assigned?" Your voice was shaky, and Katsuki picked up on it. The bed dipped behind you, and it suddenly felt warmer than before.
"Yeah, but my mom has ties with other people. I guess that's one thing the hag is good for."
Time was ticking by slowly. Each exhale of breath made the tension thicker. You wanted out of this house. Tears pricked at your eyes. Your hands started to tremble.
"Didn't mean to make it awkward," upon breaking the silence, you turned your head. Katsuki could see your tears shine in the darkness. "Go to bed, I guess. We start school tomorrow at 8:30."
He laid on the right side, and you hesitantly took the left side. As far apart as you could stand without falling off the edge. You didn't even have a blanket, yet neither did he. Curling up into a small ball, you wondered what ever made you apply to the foreign exchange program.
How would you ever get out of it?
