Hitoshi Shinso x Reader
(3RD POV, AU, quirks still present)
(Small bits of dialogue, more descriptive details)

Why did there have to be so many trees? They covered the entire region, and only sprouted back up when cut down. The sticks and leaves were intertwining with her hair, sometimes pulling her backwards.
She could hear the horsemen and guards behind her, but his screams were even louder. He called for her, demanding that she came back. Y/N didn't know if his quirk extended this far, but she wasn't taking any chances. She continued to stay silent and run. Her dress was becoming more ragged with each pull of a stick, and the crown she had worn since birth had already fallen off when she first ran.
Her timid and fragile heart couldn't carry on for much longer. Being the successor to a kingdom meant Y/N was sheltered to the extreme. No outdoor play, no friends, no hobbies. She was losing hope when the path ahead of her cleared, revealing a cliff instead of a desired escape route.
Shinso had threatened war if an alliance was not made, and only Y/N and her advisors understood his true intentions. The greedy bastard wanted her throne and his, before kicking Y/N to the dirt. She was physically defenseless, and could easily be assassinated if the plans were to follow through.
During the short weeks they spent together in courting, Y/N saw a new side of him. He'd reach out, and hold her hand for dear life. She would have to call the guards to make him let go, and even then, he still tried his damnedest to have his way. Shinso wasn't the cold man she'd thought of before. During the nights leading up to the wedding, Y/N couldn't sleep when he was fighting to barge inside.
Her two guards that were stationed outside her door were dead, their throats slit viciously. They had been there all night, and somehow no one came on patrol past Y/N's quarters. A few gold coins were enough to make anyone look the other way.
Whenever she saw purple hair in her court, she immediately thought of Shinso. It was impossible that any of her noble colleagues were him, though. He always stood by her side, trying to whisper lies into her ear. Shinso was desperate to get the ring on her finger, but not for the same reason intentionally. Y/N had to be his, or he'd never calm down. What was he thinking about again? He forgot. Her presence made him forget crucial details, but it only drew him in closer.
The cliff narrowed to a point, and down below was the river Y/N had been baptized in as a baby. Would she die immediately, or suffer until she drowned? She didn't want to go back and face the consequences. Y/N couldn't just stand there and let him spew his sinful vows. The ring wouldn't go on her finger.
Wet, dirty, and soiled. Her wedding dress. It was a pitiful sight. Shinso would already be angry at the waste of such a fine dress. Y/N prayed that there truly was an afterlife beyond death.
"She's over there! Stop her before she jumps!"
"Shit! Leave me alone, I swear to God I'll jump!"
Her left foot stepped backwards, with the heel of her foot teetering over the edge. But then she stopped. The mind she had tried so hard to protect wasn't hers anymore.
Was it Shinso who spoke? Did I make a mistake?
"No...get out of my fucking head!"
