Tokoyami x Reader

(3rd POV)

He had long ago graduated at UA, earning himself a comfortable job under his mentor, Hawks himself. When he was a teenager, he had already learned to control his shadow. Every day he would spend saving lives, whether it from natural disaster or villains.
Everything seemed to all flip upside down when a new hero was brought to work alongside Hawks. He didn't think much of it, but assumed they had a flying quirk, such as his. They would be joining him on his next attempt at a rescue operation, and honestly, he wasn't thrilled about it. What if the new hero got in the way?
The entire bank was on lockdown, with many civilians held hostage inside. Villains held them at gunpoint, while others used their monstrous quirks to incapacitate people. Something was burning in the background, and smoke would soon fill the room. Tokoyami was trying to clear the air, and Dark Shadow was attempting to subdue escaping villains.
Hawks was no where to be found, and the other supporting heroes fled the scene in a panic. It was up to Tokoyami to save everyone. Dark Shadow suddenly collapsed, and was absorbed back into Tokoyami's chest.
Even as a pro-hero, he felt himself starting to panic. Several villains surrounded him, ready to end his life in a split second. The hostages cried out as one villain summoned a pointy needle on the end of his finger, and aimed it at the hero's neck.
The air felt hot, but not from the ever-growing fire. Then, the roof of the bank completely collapsed into a pile of rubble. It was bright, blindingly white in color. The sun was blocked out from her wings, but then reemerged as she folded them towards her body. She started to spiral down, the force of her quick descent sending more rubble flying in the air.
Her hand touched his shoulder, and it was the most comforting sensation he'd ever felt. The same white light glowed from her hand, and in the shape of a sphere, it migrated towards his heart. A rush of energy surged through his body, and Dark Shadow emerged from within and continued to fight.
Another wave of light lit the area up, and a shockwave sent everyone but the civilians flying back. Rubble from the ceiling cracked, and then fell. Most of the villains were immediately crushed, and the woman who saved Tokoyami quickly made work of the escapees.
It became quiet, and all of the civilians rushed out onto the street. Tokoyami thought she would leave him behind, thinking he was someone unimportant. She did no such thing, instead using her wings to shield his body as she lifted him into the air.
Her feathery embrace made something in his head twitch. The wings she adorned were long, wispy, and pristine white. Her eyes were soft, and their colored shined brightly despite the chaos. She held him in her arms as she stepped out into the sun, nearly glittering when the rays of light hit her skin.
He'd never seen anything more beautiful, nor parallel to himself. She was so vastly different, yet something screamed at him to not let her go. Dark Shadow had retreated back inside, becoming quiet and still.
When he opened his eyes again, he was in a hospital bed. A monitor would beep every few seconds, and an IV uncomfortably protruded from his arm. Tokoyami groaned in pain, realizing a splitting headache took root in his head.
A voice coughed from beside him, and his eyes widened at the sight of her. She bore no wounds, and looked as if she didn't have a speck of dirt on her body. Her wings were curled behind her back, and would slowly rise and fall with each breath.
