(Kalia's Pov)
The day was a drag, people didn't care about how the morning went all they cared about was the Knights fight tonight. I spent hours contemplating whether or not to go to New Orleans to get some answers. Honestly while I was there I didn't get much of my family history like I had hoped this time around I hoped that would change. But the worst part was Cody, he would never let me leave without him, how could I get the information I needed while he was breathing down my neck?
I push away from the desk and rubbed my eyes that was covered with papers that Dex had brought over the other night, I had been looking over these for at least twenty-four hours. The papers were plans, family history, weaknesses, Cody's weak spots. Dex had called me hours ago telling me to finish with the papers because He didn't want Cody to see them. Since then I've been going through a stack of papers at least several times.
The plans were crazy, they would never work. They had wolves attacking the guards before jumping over the fences and trying not to be seen attack at the Knights Palace while the head wolves went into the castle. That was one thing you didn't do, you never attack Cody's castle. I had concluded but the amount of red and blue people blue were going to win. The wolves could win, they have a couple advantages here: they could shift, venomous bite, larger army. But I also had to consider the Vampires: wolfsbane grenades and bullets (I had accidentally walked in on Cody expecting both) Cody intense training. I mean this is what they trained for; wolves, they didn't train for witches, or other vampires they trained to fight their number one enemy.
I lean back in my chair propping my feet onto the desk as I continued to stare at the color coated plan. Vampires could win, but they don't have that many advantages like the wolves- I literally jumped up outta my chair pushing the papers under a book before turning to see Cody.
There was something about the tension between you and someone you haven't seen in a while.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." I shook my head
"You didn't scare me." He smiled before letting out a chuckle "what?" I asked him.
"Nothing. I heard your coming to the Fight tonight-"
"Yeah- with Alli." I say looking back at the papers I looked over at Cody, he was looking to the side and I slowly moved my hand to hide the plans even more. Cody was suddenly pressed against me using his speed to pick up the papers but I caught his hand. I squeezed his hand and pushed it up and he pushed his hand down. I turned my head to the left coming face to face with him.
"What's that Kalia?"
"Homework." I said strongly. He just continued to stare before I pushed him back. He looked unsure but turned around and left the room.
To Dex: Cody's onto me, come get the papers during the fight.
I quickly place all of the papers into the folder before quickly pulling on my leather jacket over my grey tank top. I slipped on my heeled ankle boots and pushed the hair out of my face walking towards the door.
I was greeted by a Knight who look familiar. I shut my door before turning to him.
"Daniel?" I said
"Yes ma'am" I nodded slowly turning around Turing tot the right towards the stairs. I stopped and looked back to Daniel who was following me.
"Can I help you Daniel?"
"No ma'am." I nodded slowly once again.
"Why are you following me?"
"I'm under strict orders to follow you, Cody assigned me to be personal guard for you." I rolled my eyes and went down the stairs trying to ignore Daniel.
