Chapter 27: The Alpha

(Kalia's Pov)

Weeks passed, with Lucas and I tracking the killer, getting his scent, following him, but his scent would just drop off, and he left bodies of Alphas for us to find. We learned that he had recently graduated from high school, we learned that Romans pack is a pack of Alpha's from all over the world, along with some betas stuck in there. We called him 'The Alpha'

No matter how hard we tried, how far we drove it always ended with the killers scent disappearing, and three bodies left behind..

"How many more Alphas can there be? He kills every three days and for the past two weeks. Fifteen bodies have been found this has to stop."

"We know that Kalia." Jaden said taking a bite of his bacon"

"Where's Lucas?" I ask

"Going the killers house, He just left." I shot out of my seat grabbing my jacket.

"Where are you going?"

"I'll be with Lucas!" I yell running out the door I took the elevator down to the garage and got into the newer truck and opened the garage.

I rounded the corner quickly seeing the motorcycle and Lucas pulling off his helmet. I pulled behind him and he turned to me. I got of the truck fixing my jacket and locking it.

"You really thought you were going to come alone and I wouldn't find out?"

"Actually, yes. Who snitched?" He asked as I stood in front of him.

"Jaden. Why go by yourself? Because you think his sister is 'bloody hot' and you think you have a chance?"

"Rude." He says as we start to walk towards the house.

"Why get a girlfriend from New Orleans when one: you don't live here, two: you could have a nice hot Cali girl."
"What do you know that I don't?" I ask

"His name is William, I don't have a last name."

The door opened to reveal a girl with brown hair and tanned skin.

"Umm may I help you?" She asked

"I think you can.. We where looking for William? Is he your brother?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, but he's not home right now. Actually I haven't heard, or seen him in a couple days. If you don't mind me asking, but who are you guys?"

"I'm a friend of William's friend. This is my- my girlfriend, um Mia. We heard that William graduated and we wanted to congratulate him didn't we love?" Lucas says pinching my arm.

"Of course." I say in my best British accent.

"Well he's not home and my parents are out of town, if I see him I'll tell him Mia and-"

"Drake." I say instantly.

"I'll tell him you stopped by." She says before waving us off.

"Drake? Seriously?"

"It's the first thing that came to mind" I say as we walk back to the vehicles.

"What's next?"

"We keep looking. It's a full moon tonight, I have a good feeling we're going to see him tonight, as long as you can control yourself."

"I've been in control for years, it was one slip." He just chuckled and got back on his bike.

"We're are you going?"

"Matt's? I need to do more research."

"I? Don't you mean we?"

"Are you good with computers?"
