(Kalia's Pov)

I woke up freezing, and alone when I realized I had slept alone. I sat up and rubes my eyes, it was early so Cody was probably trading the Knights so I would head there first. I went into the bathroom did my business, and brushed my teeth. I went to plug in the straightener when I say a card with my name in Cody's handwriting. I put the straightener on the counter and picked up the card flipping it open.

Kalia,

I hope you still aren't mad at me from last night and I hope you will forgive me. It's in the past and right now, your peacefully sleeping in your bed, I decided not to wake you. I'm heading off to Canada for two months to finalize Law and talk with some very important people about it. Your probably confused as to why I didn't tell you, I found out a couple days ago my dad said it was a good idea and I should go, I didn't tell you because it was better this way. Trust me. I will see you in two months.

-Cody

I haven't realized I was crying until one dropped onto the paper. I set it down and quickly pulled my hair into a ponytail having no time to waist. I pulled on a long sleeves red shir, some dark jeans black knee high boots. I ran down the stairs and into Cody's car with was parked in front of the castle and I grabbed the keys from a Knight.

How dare he? He just gives me a freaking letter saying he was leaving for two months? Who does that? Exactly when I thought we where doing perfect, he decided to pull this stunt. I passed cars, ran a stop sign just to get to LAX.

I parked the car, couldn't say it was the best, but I ran inside slowing down to look for Cody. I searched and look everywhere for him.

"Kalia?" I heard Cody's voice, I turned and found him.

"What the hell are your doing?" I asked as I began to cry harder, he looked down. "Your leaving to freaking Canada for two months, and you couldn't tell it to my face? You had to write on some piece of paper?"

"Kalia I don't want to leave you-"

"Then don't." I say

"I'm saying with Justin Stirling I need his help with enforcing the Law."

"So you would go with him instead of letting me, a werewolf, help you when I know how werewolves work and he doesn't know shit?"

"Kalia it's not like that and you know it." He argued.

"Don't go, please Cody. Just don't leave me." I said tears starting to form in my eyes. He turned and looked at his schedule, sighed, and turned to face me.

"Not everything can be about you or the wolves." He says stepping closer to me.

"Are you calling me selfish? I'm selfish? Your the one who was just going to leave and not tell me!" People walking by had stared at us but I didn't care, anything to stop him from leaving.

"I left because without telling you because I knew you where going to act like this!" He yelled, his eyes darkening. "I knew you where going to beg and cry, just as you are now,  for my to stay. I would give in just like I always do, because I love you Kalia! You know I would do anything  for you! You can't convince me not to go, I've already made up my mind, I have to do this." I just stood there, after months and months. He finally said it, he told me he loved me.

"Cody." I whimpered wiping my eyes.

"I'm leaving Kalia that's final." He said, then his flight was boarding.

"Come here." He said holding his arms out. I shook my head.

"You didn't want me here, so no goodbye kiss, or hug." He sighed before turning and walking away.
