It has been a little over a year since Kaili came into Xichen's life. A few months before their meeting, Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian went through their ordeal. Kaili was sitting in meditation for a while when she received a silver butterfly from Hue Cheng.

After hearing the message from Hua Cheng, Kaili realized that cultivating this fruit will take a lot of energy out of her. She was willing to do it though as Wei Wuxian deserves a chance and he is Lan Wangji's soulmate. They need each other.

Xichen had created a spot for her to cultivate plants whenever she needed. So she needed to tell Xichen what she will be doing because once she starts making the fruit she cannot stop. Kaili found Xichen at his dead reading reports that was sent by Nie Huaisang on finding information about who framed Wei Wuxian. He looked at bit stressed out.

"Am I interrupting?" Kaili asked.

"No, you are fine, A'Li," he said.

Kaili blushed, "A'Li?"

"Is that okay?" He asked.

"Only in my human form," she said.

"Alright," he said.

"I actually have something I want to run by you," she said sitting across from him.

"I am all ears," he said.

"I heard from my friend on Wei Wuxian's progress. They have his body, and collected all of the pieces of his soul. To help fuse his soul back together and bring him back to life, I need to cultivate a special fruit. This fruit helps bring the dead back to life. The problem is, this fruit takes a good amount of my time to make, and energy. So once I start making the fruit I cannot stop until it is cultivated," she explained.

"How long do you expect it to take to make?" He asked.

"At least two the three days. It will use up half, maybe a two-thirds of my energy in the process. I will need to eat, sleep, and meditate after to get it all back which will take about about week for me to fully restore it. So I just wanted to ask if you are okay with this?" She asked.

"I am okay with it, but I have to ask, why are you doing this?" He asked.

"He and Wangji are soulmates. Wei Wuxian was driven to death by the injustice he was subjected to. The gods are wanting to bring him back to have him get his life back. He will be a god once he returns and will study under some friends of mine to be a proper Yin and Yang master," Kaili explained, "plus it is the right thing to do. Do you wish to continue to see Lan Wangji morn his soulmate that was never supposed to die to begin with?"

"I just want my brother happy and I see nothing wrong with Wei Wuxian. I know of his truths and I am doing all this for him and my brother. It is the right thing to do too," Xichen said, "did you need anything before you get started?"
