"Kaili," San Lang called out as he arrived to the Hanshi. He saw her outside with Wangji, Wuxian, Yanli, and Xichen.

"San Lang, what is it?"

"Well, I managed half of the surprise but I found the rest to be pretty shocking and now she is demanded I find him," San Lang told her.

"Did you bring her with you?" Kaili asked.

San Lang nodded.

"Tell her to come out and then we can work out trying to find her brother," Kaili said.

"Kaili?" Xichen asked.

Kaili smiled, "aside from Yanli and Zixuan, I asked for two more people but one of two are missing. With Wei Wuxian we might be able to find him though."

"Why me?" Wuxian asked. Kaili nudged her head to have Wuxian look behind him. His mouth dropped open, "Qing-Jie?" He asked.

"A'Ying," she said happily, "I am back."

Wuxian went to hug her, "I missed you."

"I know," she said, "I know we just reunited but I need your help."

"What?" Wuxian asked pulling out of the hug.

"Wen Ning is missing. He never died as far as I know. They made him watch as they burned me alive. I don't know what happened to him after that," Wen Qing told him, "please help me find him."

"I will find a way to find him," Wuxian said.

"You already have a way," Kaili said.

"How?" He asked.

"Wei Wuxian, you can summon him with Chenqing. No matter where he is he will come. It may take some time but he will come to your call. If someone else is trying to control him, Chenqing rules over them now as you are a god and yin and yang master," Kaili told him.

"Is Wen Ning allowed here?" Wuxian asked Xichen.

"Of course," Xichen replied.

Wuxian took out Chenqing and played a tune to summon Wen Ning. It took no longer than twenty minutes before Wen Ning appeared.

"What happened to him?" Wen Qing asked, "why is he in chains?"

San Lang and Wuxian looked him over, "stand straight," Wuxian said and Wen Ning responded by standing straight, "hold out your hand," Wen Ning held out his hand, "he still responds but the way he acts is as if someone was actually trying to take control of him."

Wuxian then felt at the back of Wen Ning's head. He felt something stuck in his skull and he pulled. He pulled out two mind control nails. After a moment, Wen Ning was fine but he fell to his knees.

"Wen Ning," Wuxian said.

"Go-Gon—Gongzi?" He asked.

"It's alright, you are back now," Wuxian said.

"J-Ji-Jie?" Wen Ning asked.

"A'Ning," Wen Qing said happily and hugged him, "it's me A'Ning, I am alive."

"Did you want to return to a living being?" San Lang asked.

"You can do that?" Wen Qing asked him.

"Of course," San Lang responded, "it will take a few days so he'd have to come with me. You can come with to keep him company if you want."

"Yes please," Wen Qing said.

San Lang took Wen Qing and Wen Ning back to Paradise Manor Wei Wuxian was just happy to have his siblings back, "are they able to stay once they return? This is if they want to?" Wuxian asked.

"They can, there is a few spaces available for them if they decide to stay, until then we will have to wait on them," Xichen said.

"When Wen Ning comes back, I want to perform empathy on him. Since his mind was trying to be controlled, I want to find out who. Once we do, we might have some answers...I have some ideas on who it might be though," Wuxian said.

"I will be ready for when you do, we can do it in the Mingshi," Wangji said, "that way we are in a safe and controlled environment."

Wuxian nodded, "thank you," he said and turned to Kaili, "and thank you for bringing some of my family back."

"It was a gift from Xie Lian, San Lang, and me. The other Heaven officials had agreed to it as well. They were innocent lives that were taken so they agreed to help them return," Kaili told him, "I am happy to help."

Wuxian and the others eventually left and once Kaili and Xichen were alone, Kaili really wanted to just spend time with Xichen. Kaili stood beside him and Xichen let her sit on his lap.

"This is all I want right now," Kaili said resting her head on his shoulder.

Xichen smiled, "it's just us now, we can relax all you want."

Kaili wrapped her arms around his torso and placed a kiss on his neck, "when A'Xian said he has suspicions on who had Wen Ning, do you think he might be right? If you know who he might be referring to?" She asked.

"It wouldn't surprise me if it was him. You said you felt a small amount of resentment on him once, and he has a lot of schemes from what it seems," Xichen said.

"How are you feeling...about him?" She asked.

"I have pretty much moved on," he said, "ever since the issues that happened with the Moling Sect, I have long since moved in. Maybe even before that. Since I got you back completely maybe."

"You know you can always talk to me if you need to talk to someone," she told me.

"I know," he said and held her face in his hands, "I am okay though."

"Mnn, Okay," she said in a hushed voice. She was taking in Xichen's warmth from his hands on her face. Her eyes were closed as she felt so comfortable and soothed.

Xichen leaned down and kissed her. Kaili melted into his lips, as she felt so warm against him. Xichen soon started to venture his tongue into her mouth. He loved the sharpness of her teeth and he could taste something sweet but also had a slight bitterness to it. He wondered if that was her venom he was tasting, if so, he liked the taste, it was odd for him to think that he liked that taste, but he was immune to her venom and it was addictive to taste.

Xichen pulled away, "this is a weird question, but does your venom have a taste to it?" He asked.

Kaili giggled, "it has a sweetness but also bitterness to it. I cannot give you an accurate description of what it should taste like but it is sweet," she said, "you can taste it can you, maybe like candy strawberries or something similar?"

He nodded, "you said I am immune to it?"

She nodded, "yes, but that doesn't mean I want to go and bite you."

Xichen laughed, "why not?" He joked.

"Such a child," she said tapping her index finger to his nose.

"To you, I technically am. I am in my late twenties," he said, "you are thirty-thousand years old."

Kaili shook her head, "you are lucky I love you."

"And I love you too," he said and kissed her once more. Kaili remained sitting on his lap as she found him so comfortable. Sitting here, was her personal paradise.
