The next morning, to have a little fun and to get back at Xichen, she was in her snake form and coiled up in his chest. She then stood up and hovered over Xichen. When Xichen opened his eyes, Kaili hissed at him, causing him to jump a bit. She felt it was pay back for the way he treated her. He deserves every bit of her sass at the moment.

"Hey, what are you doing?" He asked confused.

Did I scare you?

"Yes," Xichen said with a sigh and threw his arm over his face. Xichen then felt something cool against his neck. He moved his arm and saw Kaili's head now in his face, "can I help you?"

"Are you going to feed me any times soon? I haven't had a proper meal in a few days," she asked, "you have been a terrible master not taking care of your spiritual companion."

Xichen chuckled, "aww, my girl is hungry, I am so sorry."

"I'll eat you if you don't feed me soon!" She threatened with a hiss.

Xichen's mind went several different directions with that threat. He felt his body react a bit to that and he was so surprised. He was never aroused by anyone or anything because. Why is it when Kaili makes such a threat it makes him react.

"Get your head out of the gutter, Lan Huan," she said.

Xichen slowly sat up as Kaili slithered up and behind his neck and wrapped the rest of her body around his waist. She smirked internally and coiled her tail around his thigh, very close to his groin. Xichen blushed as he felt her wrap herself around him. Xichen managed to get out of bed but Kaili tightened her tail around Xichen's leg, and the tip of her tail was moving really close to his private region.

"Kaili, what is your intention with your tail around my leg?" He asked with a grin.

"Does it bother you Lan Huan?" She asked slyly.

"Maybe a little bit," he replied.

"Good," she replied mischievously.

Xichen sighed and went to her spot at his desk, "you chill here, I am going to go bathe and get dressed and then I will make you breakfast," he said. Kaili curled up on her spot and let Xichen go get ready for his day. As Xichen walked away, Kaili let out a hiss. Xichen looked back at her, "don't you hiss at me."

Kaili then made another hiss but also a spitting like sound. Xichen was a bit taken by surprise by her playful behavior. He began to wonder if it was payback for the past few days. Xichen sighed and actually liked this playful behavior. He went to go bathe and get dressed before making breakfast for Kaili and himself.

After breakfast, Kaili coiled around Xichen's waist. Xichen put in his warm coat and Kaili let her head pop out of it for a bit. Upon heading over to the Jingshi, she moved her head inside Xichen's coat to keep warm. She then heard that Xichen had entered the Jingshi so she popped her head back out.

"Kaili," A'Yuan said happily.

Kaili slithered out of Xichen's coat and down his leg. She slithered across the Jingshi and lightly wrapped herself around A'Yuan. Her head rested on his shoulder. A'Yuan was laughing and giggling as he was enjoying Kaili's attention.

"I take it you two work everything out?" Wangji asked.

"Yes we did, did the disciples tell you about Jin Guangyao?" Xichen asked.

Wangji nodded, "we will get answers."

"Kaili's friends have extra people looking too," Xichen said.

Wangji nodded. A'Yuan continued to giggle as Kaili booped her snout with his. A'Yuan lightly pet her head, "you are so cute."

Kaili transformed into her human form and sat beside A'Yuan, "you are cuter," she said.

A'Yuan giggled again and moved to sit on her lap. Kaili happily let the little boy sit with her. As she sat there, one of Hua Cheng's butterflies came in.

Kaili, I have good news.

Wei Wuxian has woken up. He still has his memories and he is sitting down with Xie Lian and me to help him adjust to his new life. He said he will return to Cloud Recesses once his training is complete. It will take a few months to complete so you will still have be patient.

Also, he wants to give Lan Wangji his heart. Don't tell him that but you can tell Lan Wangji he is awake and he will return soon. He wants to help find out who framed him and have his vengeance. He is also looking forward to meeting you as well as thank you as you helped him return as well.

Kaili smiled, "that was San Lang," she said, "he said Wei Wuxian has woken up."

"He's awake? Did he said how Wei Ying was?" Wangji asked eagerly.

Kaili smiled more, "he remembers everything. He will be with San Lang and Xie Lian for a few months to complete his training but he wants to return to see you specifically, Wangji. He asks to wait for him patiently and he wants vengeance for whoever framed him."

"I will be waiting for him, and everyone in the sect is willing to help find who framed him," Wangji said.

"Nie Huaisang and Da-Ge have also agreed to help, they have spies looking into the other sects. Huaisang now as a couple people looking for Jin Guangyao but we will be patiently waiting for Wei Wuxian's return," Xichen said.

Kaili nodded, "good, he needs stability when he returns. He needs acceptance and to know he belongs somewhere. As he remembers everything, I am sure he will be hurting from it all," she said.

"We will help him as much as we can," Wangji said.

"How is your back?" Kaili asked.

"It's almost all healed thanks to your herbs you have given me," Wangji said.

"Keep using them, as they can help remove the scars," she told him.

Wangji nodded, "I will."

Kaili and Xichen may have worked things out, but there was still some distance between them. Kaili was not sure if he trusted her anymore. She could also tell there was something odd about him but she could not figure it out.
