Even though they had a choice, Wen Qing and Wen Ning decided to stay in Paradise Manor. Wuxian could visit them whenever he wanted. He even brought A'Yuan with him a few times to let him see them again. Wen Ning was no longer a conscious corpse, as Hua Cheng helped him get his life back. Then Wen Ning and Wen Qing ascended as gods.

With Kaili and Xichen, they have been more playful since they messed around for the first time. They only stuck to touching and nothing further. The two were closer, that was for sure.

The next conference meeting was in a few days, and Kaili would be attending again. She felt a bit more safe as it was now Sect Leader Nie Mingjue who was Xiandu (Chief Cultivator). She was going as her person and not as her snake. She needed to be a human more often so people can get used to her. She could continue being a snake but as a human, more people would recognize her as the goddess Kaili, though, not many people know a large white snake.

At the moment, her and Xichen were heading to Qinghe early. Wuxian and Wangji were also coming as they were still looking for Jin Guangyao. They were hoping that this meeting would help get some insight on where he might be.

When they got to Qinghe, Xichen went to meet with Nie Mingjue for a few minutes so Kaili was left alone in their room. While she was alone, she could suddenly sense something off. Someone was nearby with malicious intent. Within five seconds, someone teleports in her room in a puff of green smoke, pricked her with a sleeping needle, and teleported out with her.

By the time she woke up, she was hanging on a wall by chains in a dark concrete cell. She also saw that she was only in her tunic and trousers. That made her more nervous and uncomfortable. She felt that someone could have touched her unknowingly. She could feel that the room was enchanted with something that blocked a lot of her abilities, especially her shifting to a snake. Luckily, she could still retract her fangs. If she can get the chance she could do some damage, but she needed to know what was happening right now.

Soon enough, there conscious corpses came walking in, Jin Zixun, Xue Yang, and Su She. They were all made into corpses. They were killed but brought back. Kaili was confused as to who would do such a thing...but then again, when Su She and Xue Yang are involved, it was obvious.

"Jin Guangyao!" Kaili yelled, "you won't get away with this."

"Of course I can, and if you wish to live you will do what I tell you," He said entering the cell.

"You cannot kill a goddess, could injure me severely but not kill me," Kaili said, "and your karma will rain heavily upon you for capturing me. So many people are looking for you, and since you captured me, you are going to regret it!"

"You are so feisty, no wonder Er-Ge fell for you," he said, "he likes people like that. Especially in bed."

Kaili narrowed her eyes, "you know nothing," she said, "and you are lying. I can tell whether you are lying or not."

"How so?" Jin Guangyao asked.

"It's an ability of mine, you may have sealed most of them but not all," she said then decided to taunt him. She had a guess that Jin Guangyao had a sick fascination for Lan Xichen, one that Kaili had suspected for a while, which was why he wanted to poison Xichen a while back, and take advantage of his unconscious body, "but I can tell you, he is so fine! He has the best hands anyone could ever have. Can you imagine? His long warm fingers caressing you."
