Kaili was feeling a lot better since she returned to Cloud Recesses with Xichen. She was free from confinement and it turned out, she was never suppose to be punished. The gods and heavenly officials were misinformed and they unjustly punished her. They had been punished by Xie Lian himself for abuse of power. He even asked his father to step down and for him to take over if he cannot properly investigate before doing such acts. His father declined but he was now to assist him a bit more and he will take over when he found Xie Lian ready.

Next, the Jin Clan and Jiang Clan needed to face their fate for humiliating a goddess and even worse, injuring her. As Jin Guangshan has to step down as sect leader, his wife happily took over and locked up her own husband for him to rot in a dungeon cell. Even having his golden core removed.

Jiang Cheng, had to be dealt with next. Since Kaili was doing so much better and pretty much healed, she, Xichen, Wangji, and Wuxian decided to take a trip to Lotus Pier. It has been a while since Wuxian has been there but he had good reasons for returning. Kaili shifted to her snake form and she was large. He was as big as the Hanshi. It ended up scaring the guards at the front entrance and then led everyone inside. Jiang Cheng was of course, furious from the sudden invasion. Kaili automatically disabled Zidian with her abilities.

"What the hell, Wei Wuxian?" Jiang Cheng asked, "What are you doing?"

"Kaili wants you to be punished for harming a goddess, and I agree with her," Wuxian answered.

"Zidian will be concealed of use for three months," Kaili said, "he needs to learn how to handle a sword again as he is always so dependent on that whip."

Wuxian saw Xichen smirking, "did she say something?"

"His punishment is that she sealed Zidian's use for three months. He needs to learn how to use a sword again as he is always so dependent on that whip of his," Xichen answered.

Wuxian laughed, "that is amazing," he said, "Jiang Cheng, you are lucky it was just your whip and not your core. You would not survive without it."

Kaili looked at Wuxian, "is that so?"

Xichen heard her, "I think you just gave her another idea, A'Xian."

Soon enough her tail whipped around and she sealed Jiang Cheng's spiritual energy. He would be powerless for three months and will unseal then. Until then, he will have to ponder upon his faults.

"Dumbass snake," Jiang Cheng scowled. Kaili hissed and spat at him. Jiang Cheng really didn't think that through. He was now powerless and even if he had power, she was a goddess and had powerful venom that could kill him. Jiang Cheng sighed in defeat, "whatever just leave my home!"

With that, Kaili teleports everyone back to Cloud Recesses. After dropping Wuxian and Wangji off, Kaili and Xichen went to finally meet with the oracle. Upon entering, Kaili felt a sense of peace and tranquility. The oracle looked at the young couple and smiled.

"It is a pleasure to be in the presence of a deity," the oracle said.

Kaili smiled, "you are too kind, my fiancé and I are here to ask for your assistance on finding an auspicious date for us."

"But of course," the oracle said and had them sit down, "I sense that you two has a long road of waiting before getting to this point. Your relationship will be filled with happiness, loved and protection. Peace is always wanted but peace is hard to find for a goddess or god. Your marriage will be your final destination and your family will only just begin. Your fiancé will ascend the night of your consummation...as a goddess I am sure you are aware of that."

"I am, I had yet to tell him," she said shyly.

"Communication, honesty, and trust builds a good and secure relationship. Always remember that. As for your auspicious date, it will be nine months from now. Will that be enough time for you?" The oracle projected.

"It will," Xichen said and paid the oracle for their time, "thank you so much for your time."

"You're welcome, if for whatever reason you need to check for a new date, come find me," the oracle said.

Kaili and Xichen nodded and left the oracle's place. They then teleported back to the Hanshi, "nine months, we can work with that," Kaili said.

"We can, we will get through this together," Xichen told her and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Kaili giggled and shifted to her snake form. Xichen chuckled at her response and couldn't help but find her so adorable. Kaili then went to chill at her spot on Xichen's desk. She was a bit tired so she felt like resting. Xichen sat at his desk and began looking through letters and other documents that needed attention.

Soon, Wangji and Wuxian decided to come and hang out for a bit. Kaili had given Wuxian another bracelet like A'Yuan's to give to Jingyi, "Jingyi will love it, thank you Kaili," Wuxian said. Kaili nodded her head before settling back down into her coiled body.

"We still have yet to find Jin Guangyao, with Jin Guangshan out of the picture, he is bound to make a move soon," Wuxian said.

"It's just one person, yet he is making it so difficult," Xichen said.

"Has Huaisang or his brother found out anything?" Wuxian asked.

"I actually haven't heard from him in a few weeks as I have been busy taking care of Kaili. I haven't even found any letters from him unless Shufu has heard from them," Xichen said.

"Speaking of Kaili, what did the oracle say?" Wangji asked.

"Nine months," Xichen replied, "we will sit down with Shufu tomorrow possibly. Kaili is tired as her energy levels have been out of balance since she was confined."

"Too bad she is cold blooded otherwise the cold spring could help her," Wuxian said.

"Well, it is starting to get closer to summer so she will have more time to be outside," Xichen said.

"The sun will do some good," Wangji said.

Kaili lifted her head and began to moved. She was now moving to wrap around Xichen as she was wanting him to share some of his body heat, plus it was an excuse to be close to him. She loved to wrap around him like this. Her head resting on his shoulder with her snoot more into the crook of his neck. She always felt so much comfort when she as so close to him, and Xichen loved holding her all the same.
