Ye Kaili was created gods. She was a deity, and snake spirit. At thirty thousand years of age, she was to live in the cultivation world for some time to learn the ways of the people.
On her first day in the cultivation...
Since it was so late after the engagement party, the people at the event were given a guest room to stay the night. They could then leave the following day. Kaili woke a bit later than Xichen, the banquet ran a bit later then expected, even past curfew. Xichen was able to wake up at the normal hours he usually does. The Lan clan members were good like that. They were able to wake up at their respective time no matter how late they were up. Even if it was an hour of sleep.
Kaili woke up and was in her snake form. She was stretched out as she would always be and was super relaxed and warm. She then realized she was twisted in the blanket again. She managed to stand up a little as saw Xichen at his desk in the room. Kaili hissed loudly at him to get his attention.
"Good morning, A'Li," Xichen said moving over to her, "I would have untangled you but I was afraid to wake you."
Kaili hissed again as she was not in a good mood. Being tangled in the blanket is nice only for a moment until she can't get her tail out, it makes her feel caged and claustrophobic, it makes her uncomfortable. Xichen chuckled and carefully untangled her from the blanket. He then sat down in the bed, "I apologize for not doing so earlier. Will you forgive this fiancé of yours A'Li?"
She hissed yet again, "if you feed this snake of yours."
Xichen chucked let her wrap around him. He then stood up and went to make her breakfast. After she ate, he accompanied her outside that day. She wanted to just hang out for a while. She slithered off Xichen and stretched out in the grass, letting the sun shine down on her. The sun warming her up. It was usually moments like this she always feels as if she was warm blooded when she can sun like this.

She did keep her eyes on Xichen most of the time though. He was sitting at a table near the Hanshi. It was shaded so he could read without letting the sun glares bother his eyes. He left the front and back doors of the Hanshi open in case anyone needed his attention.
Wangji, Wuxian, and their two boys came boy not long after Xichen got comfortable. Yanli was still in Cloud Recesses and had Jin Ling in her arms and accompanied them to see Lan Xichen.
"Hello again, Zewu Jun," Yanli greeted as she join him, Wuxian and Wangji at the table.
"Hello again, and you can call me Xichen if you like. Wuxian is my future brother-in-law so we are basically siblings at this point," Xichen said.
"We are, huh," she agreed, "um, where is Kaili?"
Xichen pointed to the large white snake in the middle of his yard, "She is sunning. As it is warm out now, she is enjoying the sunshine. Both snake and human, she is actually cold blooded."
"I forgot she told me she was also a snake," Yanli said. Jin Ling seemed intrigued by the white snake of course, "Jin Ling keeps looking that way."
Wuxian actually got a chance to get a closer look at Jin Ling. He hasn't had a chance to hold him yet but deep down he felt he doesn't deserve that opportunity. Kaili could feel Wuxian's internal pain and slithered over to them. Xichen bent down and extended his arm to let her slither up. She was then coiled around Xichen and her head rested on Xichen's shoulder.
"Wuxian is hiding his pain, A'Huan. This is actually the first time he really saw Jin Ling and he never even got to hold him," Kaili told him.
Xichen looked up at Wuxian them turned to Yanli. He then leaned over to whisper that information to her. Her heart ached as he never once got that chance. He didn't even get see Jin Ling as a baby. Jiang Cheng made sure to keep him hidden.
Yanli stood and walked over to Wuxian, "Jin Ling, would you like to say hello to your Uncle Wei?" She asked happily.
"Shijie?" Wuxian questioned.
"Tell me the truth A'Xian, yesterday at the party was the first time you saw him and this is the closest you two have been?" She asked. Wuxian nodded as Jin Ling extended his arms wanting Wei Wuxian to hold him, "Jin Rulan wants to see his Uncle Wei."
Wuxian smiled and blushed at the name. He cleared his throat and let Yanli hand Jin Ling to him.
"Wei Shishu," Jin Ling said.
Wuxian smiled as Jin Ling speaking to him, "it's nice to finally meet you Jin Ling," He said.
Jin Ling was a little younger than A'Yuan and Jingyi but he was eventually set down and immediately began to pay with the two. Kaili shifted to her human form so they could all talk to her.
"That is so cool," Yanli said, "being a snake I mean."
"Thank you...it hasn't been easy though," Kaili said.
"No one said life was easy," Yanli said.
Kaili nodded, "that is true...now that you and your husband are back, you both were given life of being gods. You can explore your abilities. You do not need a sword to do that. Wuxian could potentially help you if you want. He is the Yin and Yang Master of course," she said.
"I will think about it," Yanli said, "I am just wanting to enjoy my time with my family again."
"I can understand that," Kaili said.
"Since you and Xichen are marrying soon, when will A'Xian and Wangji marry?" Yanli asked.
"That is up to them...but I am curious," Kaili said looking at Wuxian and Wangji.
"After you and Xichen-Ge," Wuxian said.
"Wangji will ascend during your consummation...unless you have already...dual cultivated," Kaili said, "if that's the case he should have ascended then. If it happened, he'd glow his energy's color. When you ascended, Wuxian, yours was a red glow. Wangji's should be a very light blue maybe even white. His abilities would have also changed."
Wangji's ears started to turn pink and even his cheeks became flushed, "you did it didn't you?" Kaili asked with a smirk.
"Like we will answer that," Wuxian said.
"If you did, you will have to speak with Xie Lian so he can help you determine your roles in the celestial realm," Kaili said.
"We will, gosh," Wuxian said.
Kaili giggled then she gasped as she remembered something, "I didn't get to pick on Huaisang yesterday!" She said, "wasted opportunity."
Xichen laughed, "you will have more opportunities in the future."
Kaili nodded, "that is true," she said and turned back to Wuxian, "I will get it out of you eventually...I think you have though. You horny little rabbits."
Yanli giggled behind her sleeve and Xichen tried to hold back some laughter as well.
"Have you and Xichen?" Wuxian asked.
"No," Kaili replied, "I am still pure, as I should be until after we marry."
Wuxian sighed, "I can't win with you."
"What can't handle my teasing and shamelessness towards you?" She asked, "I thought you were just as shameless...maybe that was all just a lie."
Wuxian looked at her, "I am considered the most shameless man in Yunmeng," he said. Wangji cleared his throat and Wuxian looked at him, "I was considered...now I am considered your most shameless partner."
Wangji sighed, "I will deal with you later," he said.
"Rabbits," Kaili mumbled.

(*I would assume that's what he would be referred as. As I was going based of how Wei Wuxian called Xiao Xingchen, which was Shishu. His mother's martial brother, which makes him his uncle. I believe Wei Wuxian would be that to Jin Ling; as Jiang Cheng would be JiuJiu*)
