I grab my bags and I rush inside. My heart is beating faster than all the summer nights! Sure, being with Fundy was fun, but now I have someone to share all my love and pride with!
Tommy leads me with energy all the way up the stairs. I hear a door nob click, and steps approaching. We both can not contain the bright smiles on our face!
I leap into his arms, Tommy shuffling behind me and joining in. For once when he whispers in my ear,
"I love you, and missed you."
