Dream POV:

I rush in the building full of medical professionals.

"Where is my son?"

"Mr. Dream, come in. They brought him in a half an hour ago-"

"Is he alive?"

"Yes but he has a bullet above his hip and lodged in his right arm. It already got infected. I regret to inform you but I do not think..."

Silence. The disbelief could not be described. Not one facial expression, not one word could explain it.

"Can I see him?"

"Right this way."

As I walk tears fill my eyes. George was right, I knew he was always right. In should have spent more time, put more effort, stopped focusing on history and lived in the moment! My heart breaks even more when I see him laying in that hospital bed, telling me all he did, telling me how he followed my every word and command.

"I did exactly as you said father! I held my head up high..."

"I know, I know."

I crack at his shaking weak voice.

"I know you did everything just right!"

"Even before we got to ten..."

"Shh!"

"I was aiming for the sky..."
