Alice's POV

"Another dead end....," I said to nobody in particular. "Only good thing that came of that trip was the death of another rodent."

I sat down in my office chair and threw my feet up on the desk. It's been two years since that horrible day in the dungeon. Not a minute goes by that I don't think of my friends. I still wake up in a cold sweat every night as I repeatedly see their lifeless faces in my dreams. After I managed to get out of the dungeon I just took off with no direction in mind until I collapsed in the forest.

When I had woken up I had remembered the letter I had found that was addressed to the headmaster. All it took was reading the first paragraph to find out that we were sent there to die. That he knew we wouldn't make it out and he didn't care. He purposely sent us because of our mana. I've been hunting him down since.

It's kinda funny how fast he went into hiding after I destroyed the dungeon. Guess he didn't expect one of us to survive much less kill the thing he was trying to feed us to.

                  -Knock Knock-

"Well it's about damn time." I said as I stood up and walked towards the door. Opening it I see a man in a hood standing there , an envelope in his outstretched hand. I quickly grabbed it while at the same time tossing a few gold coins to him. As soon as he caught the coins he turned on his heel and left and I closed the door.

In the past 2 years I have managed to make quite a few shady "connections". I had as many as I could out there looking for information about the headmasters whereabouts. And now, I finally had a lead.
I opened the envelope and scoured its contents. Suddenly I dropped everything I was holding and rushed behind the desk. I quickly gathered all of my stuff, placing it in my spatial storage, and walked up to the window. Catching my reflection in the window all I see is a maniacal smile and bright purple eyes.

"This is a hell of a lot more then a lead.." I thought to myself. "Start counting your seconds you piece of shit, I finally found you."
