                      Alice's POV

"So little one, what do you feel like doing today?" I ask Rose as I dry her hair from her shower.

"Ummm.... Can we go somewhere different today?"

"I don't see why not. Anywhere in particular you want to go?"

                    "I dunno.... Somewhere fun maybe?"

I couldn't help but giggle at that. She's just too damn cute. Let's see... Hmmm.. Somewhere fun huh? To be honest, me and Lily didn't exactly go out much after moving in here. So I'm not entirely familiar with the whole area and definitely haven't even considered finding somewhere that would be considered fun.

Oh wait! I might know just the place. I've never actually been there but I'm sure she would love it.

"Well then, let me ask you this. Have you ever been to the ocean?"

"No.... But my papa used to tell me about it. He said it was so big that you couldn't see the other side, even with a telescope."

"Hehe. That's very true. That settles it. Wanna go hangout on the beach and see the ocean for yourself?"

                     "REALLY!! Can I?"

"Of course you can little one. We'll even stop along the way to get both of us a swimsuit and some beach toys. Sound good?"

"Yes, yes, yes!! Can we go right now?"

"Absolutely love, go get yourself ready."

Watching her squeal and quickly run off to go get her sandals I couldn't help but find myself smiling. I don't know what I'd do without her. After everything I've been through, losing Lily damn near broke me completely. I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't of taken Rose in I most likely wouldn't be here right now.

I'd probably either have given up entirely and let that demon end me or I would have snapped and never came out of it. That little girl has been my rock, my reason to keep going. I'm sure that if Lily was still around, she would have easily fallen in love with Rose like I did.

I was suddenly brought back from my thoughts when Rose came running back to me as fast as her little legs would carry her and jumped into my arms.

"I'm all ready, can we go now?"

"But of course!" I said while laughing. "I'm going to use spacial magic to teleport us just outside the main gate. Do you remember what I told you about closing your eyes so you don't get dizzy?"

"Yep!" She told me, popping the p as she did. She then squeezed her eyes closed real tight, making the funniest face as she did. Gods, she's just too fucking adorable.

"Alright, here we go." As I activated my spacial magic we both both faded out of existence, reappearing just outside the main gate a second later.

"Ok, we're here. Ready to go little one?"

She vigorously nodded her head with a huge smile on her face as I set her down and grabbed her hand.

It took about forty-five minutes walking through the crowds of people to get to our first stop. It was a cozy looking little shop that said Jills Fabrics on the sign above the door. I've never actually been in the shop but I've heard plenty of people talk about it sometimes when I was at the guild house.

Walking in, you could see a few shelves lined with different materials and a few finished products on display. As well as a small counter off to the side with an elderly lady sitting behind it.

"Welcome to Jill's Fabrics, I'm Jill. How could I help you young ladies today?" The lady asked as we approached her. She seemed pretty nice so far. And the aura she was putting off was a pretty calming one.

"Well Mrs. Jill, we're actually looking for some swim suits. Something special to commemorate the occasion. We're heading over to the beach today, it's this little ladies first time seeing the ocean."

"Oh really? The ocean is absolutely beautiful if I do say so myself. I'm sure she'll love it. I'm actually not very busy today so I'll be able to make you two something special, and since it'll be swim suits, it shouldn't take me long at all."

"Are you sure? I would really appreciate it. And don't worry, money isn't an issue whatsoever."

"Well then, if you ladies would please follow me to the back, we'll get your measurements and come up with a few designs."

About an hour and a half later, both me and rose had a couple swimsuits each as well as a couple long beach towels. After paying for everything and putting it in my spacial storage, we both said our thanks and I promised I would be back later on. I have to say, Mrs. Jill really knows her stuff. She was pretty damn talented and her prices were pretty reasonable as well.

About another two hours and three shops later, we officially had everything we needed for the day, swimsuits, towels, a huge umbrella, some beach toys for Rose, plenty of drinks and snacks and everything we would need to have a picnic lunch.

Instead of wasting time trying to figure out how to get to the beach from here, I decided to just use my sensory magic to get a layout of everything as well as find an area on the beach that there was nobody at. Then using spatial magic again, I teleported us straight there.

As soon as I set Rose down, she turned towards the ocean and her jaw dropped. It seems she didn't quite know what to say. Pulling all our new stuff out of my storage, the first thing I did was set up the umbrella and use it along with the towels to make a temporary makeshift tent for us to change in.

I decided to let Rose pick out which swimsuits we were going to wear today. For her, she chose an adorable dark blue one piece that had frills going around the waist that made it look like a somewhat short skirt. I damn near died from cuteness overload after she put it on.

As for me, she had picked out a dark purple two piece with the same kind of skirt look to the bottoms. Making us pretty much match. I love this little girl.

Once we were done changing I took down the towels and laid them out under the umbrella for us to lay on. When everything was done being set up I looked over to her and grabbed her hand.

"Alright love, ready to go play in the ocean?"

Nodding at me with a smile that went ear to ear, it was pretty obvious how excited she was. Not wanting to make her wait any longer we both ran towards the water hand in hand.
