3rd Person POV
"Are you sure it was a good idea to send those three in alone sir? Those adventurers were all A rank, but those three students are only fourth years and maybe C rank at best."
"Of course I'm sure. Are you questioning my orders boy?"
"Absolutely not headmaster, but judging by the fact that only one of those adventurers got out alive, those kids are most likely being sent to their deaths."
"My, my, what is this? Are you actually worried about those brats?"
"As if. I couldn't give a fuck less about the children themselves but the sheer amount of mana they posses would be wasted should they die."
"....."
"Wait.."
"...."
"I see. So that was your plan, you actually found it didn't you? And after all the adventurers that have already been sent there, those three will have more then enough mana in their blood to awaken it.""Exactly right. Now do you see boy?"
"I humbly apologize headmaster, you are a genius."
"It won't be long now, those brats should be just about there by now."

Alice's POV
"Is it just me or does it kinda feel like somethings off about this?" Jace asked with a weird look on his face. "Not that I'm complaining but shouldn't we have ran into something stronger by now?"We had just made it down to the tenth floor of the dungeon and were walking down an eerily silent corridor with nothing in sight but a dimly lit torch on the wall every few feet or so.
"You've got a point, all we've had to kill so far are low level monsters that anyone can handle. There's no way that adventurer had that much trouble unless there was a least a few high leveled monsters."
That was indeed very strange. There isn't even a single dungeon anywhere that didn't get more difficult the further down you went. Everyone knew that, it's common sense you know?
"So where'd they all go?" Sky whispered while looking around anxiously. "I can't even sense anything above intermediate level. This feels so wrong, what if.."
She was suddenly cut off as she slipped on something and fell into me. Trying to catch herself from falling, out of reflex she extended her arms and tried to grab something which ended up in her not only grabbing me but pulling me down with her.
"Woah there gorgeous, as much as I'd like for this to continue, we're on a job. Just couldn't wait to jump me huh?" I laughed as her face turned all hella red and she refused to look at me. So damn cute!!
"Ummmm, guys..."
"Not now Jace, I think we're in the middle of something great..."
"Normally I would love to see that but you guy's might want to take a closer look at what she slipped on..."
"What do mean?"
Using my light magic I conjured a small orb of purple light that lit up everything in at least a fifty foot radius. Instantly I regretted lighting it up because no sooner had I done so suddenly Sky screamed and jumped up knocking me off of her.
All around us was nothing but pools and pools of blood and random monster parts. Sky ran a few feet away and started puking. I honestly don't mind the sight of all the gore but I was extremely shocked to see so much in one hallway. Everywhere I looked was the same.
"Guess we know what happened to all the monsters." I said as I walked over to Sky to hold her hair out of the way while she finished losing her lunch. "The question is what the fuck was capable of killing so many high leveled monsters."
Holding my hands up to me and Sky I used a mix of water and wind magic to clean us up. Looking over to Jace I got an extremely uneasy feeling as I saw the look on his face.
"Actually Alice, the REAL question is what the fuck not only killed so many but when did it kill them. It couldn't have been too long ago or the dungeon would have respawned the monsters by now. Which can only mean one thing...."
"Whatever did it is still somewhere close by...."
That uneasy feeling suddenly got a lot worse. Then as if to prove it right we suddenly heard the weirdest and loudest snarl I've ever heard. Whatever the fuck was in here with us is closer then I thought and judging by the sounds of something walking towards us we were already spotted.
"Sky... Jace... Run!!.."
