Alice's POV

'And there she goes.' We hadn't even fully stopped yet and she was already back in her Fenrir form and running off into the woods. I couldn't help but laugh a little. She can be annoying as hell sometimes but I can't deny that she's also cute as hell, I have a feeling I'll never be able to say no when she uses those damn puppy dog eyes. Of course I'd never tell her that.

We haven't known each other for very long but I already feel like she's an irreplaceable part of my life. Which is honestly a bad thing come to think of it. What would happen if she found out the reason I was even in Adviras. Thankfully she hasn't questioned it yet and probably assumed what happened was just a random case of some creep trying to kidnap a girl. What if she found out that me going there and taking someone's life caused it? For that matter, if she found out just how many lives I've taken to get this far...

Trying to clear my head for now I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. 'I'll worry about that later, for now let's try and enjoy the trip.' I thought to myself. Crazily enough, thinking about it this is literally the first trip I've ever willingly taken that wasn't part of either a mission, to gather information or to kill a sorry excuse of a person. I don't have to rush due to a timeframe so I can actually just take things slow and enjoy it.

'I wish you guy's were here.... The two of you would have loved this..' When I finally managed to pull myself out of my head and away from my thoughts I realized that I had already set everything up. After gathering some wood for the fire I decided I would wait for Lily to return with her catch before I lit it. With how dark it was getting it was easy to see the sky start to light up with thousands of stars. Laying back and staring at the sky I was mesmerized, it was truly a breath taking sight. And before I knew it I felt myself start to drift off and it wasn't long before I fell asleep.

Lily's POV

Walking back to the carriage I was practically skipping so to speak. I guess trotting would probably be a more accurate term seeing as how I was still on all fours in my Fenrir form. The reason behind my happiness was the five hundred pound deer I had hanging from my jaws. 'Alice is sure to be happy with my catch. I can't wait until she sees it!' I thought while walking out of the tree line towards the carriage.

It didn't take me long to realize that it was dark. 'She must not have started the fire yet, I wonder why?.' I set my catch down just behind the carriage and reverted back to my humanoid form. But before I went around to see Alice I realized that I may have fucked up a little. In my earlier excitement to be able to stretch my legs and run I had completely spaced taking off my clothes before shifting, effectively shredding said clothes in the process. 'I hope she won't be upset for destroying them, she did give them to me after all...'

Deciding to just face the music I quickly threw on a pair of the night clothes Alice and given me and headed around towards the tent she had set up. As I walked around the tent I saw that she had already gathered wood and set up a camp fire but hadn't lit it. Instead she was laying on the ground sound asleep. I couldn't help but smile when I saw how cute she is as she slept.

Just then I felt the wind pick up a bit and at the same time I saw Alice start to shiver a little indicating that she was probably getting a little chilly. Stepping into the tent and grabbing a blanket I walked back over to Alice and lay down next to her, using the blanket to cover the both of us. Cuddling up next to her to keep her warm, it wasn't long until I started to drift off with a smile on my face.
