Chapter 28

Alice's POV

    Well, I fucked up. Big time. After hearing the old dudes explanation and realizing that he held some of the same type of pain I've had to endure, I decided to throw in a little extra with the payment. Ok, maybe a little isn't exactly right. But still, I only gave him like three times the amount he wanted, it wasn't that much. But thanks to that he started tearing up and practically worshipping me in the middle of the street.

     After what seemed like a few hours of awkwardly being thanked and praised by the old realtor, he finally gave us the key to the house, the deed to the property and a roughly drawn map of how to get there.

    So once more we headed for the gate and was finally on our way out of Lumina. As soon as I was sure that nobody could see us I turned to Lily.

         "Hey, you looked at the directions he gave us right?"

                 "....Yes.."

        "Confident you'd be able to find your way there?"

                "If course, but wh-."

         "Race you there!!" Without waiting for a response I took off as fast as I could. Yes, I just did that. Don't judge me. What can I say, this is the first time I've ever owned anything other than my gear and it was a fucking house as well as a good stretch of land. I was excited, leave me alone.

    Zipping through the trees since I've already reached the forest I glanced over to see Lily running directly parallel to me but about twenty feet away. She gave me a huge smile then a sexy wink before suddenly gaining speed.

      'How cute, she actually thinks she's going to win.' I think to myself before concentrating. As soon I opened my eyes I grinned mischievously and suddenly started going a hell of a lot faster. Effectively creating a sonic boom as I broke the first sound barrier.

    Gods I wish there were high speed cameras in this world, the look on Lily's face as I went speeding past her was priceless. Before I knew it I was closing in on the house fast. I had to turn and dig my feet in to try and stop before I ran right into it. Which in turn led to me digging a small but long trench in the dirt as I skid to a stop.

     Lily caught up right after. I'll admit, that was pretty fucking fun. Granted all we did was run here and it probably only took us like two minutes to find the place, but I actually enjoyed it.

           "Ok... How in the actual fuck are you that fast love?" Lily asked as she caught her breath.

       "Don't know, guess I'm just gifted."

               "Oh I know your gifted love. And pretty soon this house will know it too." She said with a wink and a seductive smile.

    Feeling my face heat up I quickly turned around to focus on the house. And instantly I was both surprised and confused.
