Dark Reincarnation: Nightshade

Chapter 12

Alice's POV

      The next few days went by uneventfully as I made my way towards Adviras, with Lily in tow of course. Thankfully she was easily able to keep up in her Fenrir form even though I was using wind magic to 'fly'. She simply followed along on the ground right below me. Sometimes I would lose sight of her as she made sure to steer clear of any travelers we may have passed. But I wasn't too worried whenever I lost track of her, for some reason she was adamant about me 'belonging to her now' so I knew she was still following.

      Eventually I saw the outer walls of the kingdom just about a mile in front of us so I decided it would probably be best to start walking from here. Lowering myself down just inside the tree line I took a look at the walls. Even from here they looked enormous and had balistae positioned on top of the walls about every fifty feet or so. It was definitely a well secured place.

     It wasn't long before I heard Lily approaching me from behind. When she came into view she had already shifted into her humanoid form. And just like the first time I saw her my cheeks heated up. Thankfully she was already wearing the set of clothes I gave her or we might be having an issue right about now.

           "So is that where you've been heading all this time?" She asked in a beautiful voice. I had to pull myself together and quit staring at her before I could answer.

            "Yes, that is the kingdom of Adviras. I have some very important business to take care of here." I told her. I already know she's not gonna like what I have to say next. "I need you to wait here. This is something I must do alone."

     Looking up to try and gauge her reaction I was startled to see that instead of being upset she seemed almost lost in thought.

           "Ok. I'll wait here. But you better not take too long or I will gladly hunt you down Alice. Don't forget, you belong to me now." She said with a mischievous grin. Then after thinking for a moment she turned, walked up to me, and did the last thing I could have ever expected. She kissed me. Not just a light peck either but a deep lingering kiss. At first I was taken aback by her actions but then I started to kiss her back. Just as I did I started to feel like some sort of energy was passing between us. It wasn't exactly unpleasant but it felt weird.

           "There, all done." She giggled as she stepped back leaving me flustered.

            "Done with what? And why the hell did you just kiss me?" I asked completely confused as I touched my lips. I mean, of course I'm not mad. Who the hell would be mad when someone as hot as her kisses them? But I am confused.

         "That wasn't just a kiss Alice. It was the start to a contract. Although incomplete it will allow me to always find you and vise versa." She said matter of factly with a huge smile and red cheeks.

         "Wait.. incomplete? What do we have to do to complete the contract?" I asked while starting to get weird thoughts.

          "You'll have to wait and see. Now get going already so you can come back."

      Pushing me out of the tree line I started walking towards Adviras. Completely oblivious to what she meant. Pushing all those thoughts aside for now I switched back to my usual state of mind. I need to be careful here, I can't afford to fuck this up. That piece of shit headmaster is in this kingdom and I'm going to truly enjoy making him suffer. Just wait, I will get my revenge.

        "Enjoy life while you can fucker. Your seconds are numbered...."
