                       Alice's POV

'First things first, time to get a feel of the place..'

It only took about an hour of walking to get to Lumet after I teleported closer. My plan right now is to try to blend in as a normal villager just passing through so as not to catch unwanted attention.

Thankfully I know how to forge documents and I made myself a normal village id paper. I stuck with the name Jessica just like my adventurers id say but changed it to say I had very low mana capacity and that I was only capable of using low tier wind magic.

To complete the look, I had changed from my armor to a blue and purple, ankle length and loose fitting dress. Almost like a stupid Sunday dress but all torn up since I was supposedly from a poor backwater village. The only thing I didn't remove was my choker.

After spending around eight hours walking around the city I was confident in my plan. I had spent the day mostly walking around familiarizing the streets and pathways. I even heard a few things when I stopped somewhere for lunch.

Apparently, this Baron Olterio guy really was overly paranoid. There was a group of three or four guards standing at almost every other corner of the place. And according to what I heard, the guy only leaves his mansion when either summoned to the capital or going to the local slave auction.

            'Piece of shit...'

Of course I would be sent somewhere where slavery is an everyday thing. How have I not noticed you ask? Apparently it's all completely under ground here. As long as you kept it all hush hush and didn't draw attention to yourself then the local government turns a blind eye.

As expected of the human race, I'm so glad I got Rose off of this stupid ass continent. Turns out that the guy I had talked to was one of the very few slaves actually set free after awhile.

He told me that there was an auction coming up in a couple days and that the Baron never misses one. And after handing the guy a few gold coins, he even gave me the address of where it's usually held.

Deciding to see just what this auction is about, I rented a room at a nearby inn for a couple days. I'll be waiting for the auction to make my move against Olterio. Until then I better rest up and prepare myself to be ready for absolutely anything.

You never really know what someone is capable of or what kind of tricks they have up their sleeve. Especially when it comes to a overly paranoid person with that much money.

Anyway, since it's getting late I decided to turn in for the night. I already miss my bed, it was so much more comfortable then the shit they give you at inns. It took a while of tossing and turning but eventually I was able to fall asleep.

I don't know how long I had actually been asleep for, but I don't think it was for long since it's still dark out. I'm not sure what exactly it was that woke me up. I just know that I had a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach and I was sweating bullets.

Then came the last thing I wanted to have to deal with right now.

         'Alice....'

                  'Really... this shit again....'
