                       Alice's POV

After getting them set up with some new clothes and making sure they were going to be ok for awhile, I sent one of my guards with a letter to the king. It was to inform him that there will be a few slaves I freed sent to my house and to ask him if he could send someone to build a few houses on my property for them.

I know it won't exactly be cheap to handle everything but I told him just to take it out of my pay for sending me to help with this stupid war shit. Then making sure I had everything I teleported back to the top of the catwalks in the warehouse.

It looks like they were just finishing up. The auctioneer was back on stage, hyping people up.

"And now ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for. I told you we have something rare, something you've never hoped to see, and I plan to deliver.

"We couldn't believe it ourselves when this specimen was brought to us, it was truly a miracle. What I'm about to present to you is not only one of the fiercest and most dangerous things out there but is also completely obedient.

"With absolutely no previous memories or any sense of self, she knows nothing but to serve."

The place was practically a madhouse as everyone grew more and more excited by his words. Hell, even I'll admit I'm kind of curious. By the way he's playing it up and by what he said, it's clearly a non-human slave.

But what is it I wonder? It wasn't a beastkin or they would have shown them earlier with the rest. And judging by what he said, it clearly couldn't be an elf or a dwarf. Unless they somehow managed to capture and enslave a demon, the only other thing I could think of was a monster of some kind.

This was a slave auction though, not a black market for exotic creatures. And if it was able to serve like he mentioned then it was most likely humanoid. That would actually mean this is worse then originally thought. Only the highest tiered monsters could take on a humanoid form.

If they truly did have something that powerful but completely under their control, it would be the same as owning a nuke. And if it truly didn't have any memories or sense of self, it means that there would be no resistance to any order it received...

Whatever the case may be, I need to eliminate this threat here and now.

"Now, as most of you are regulars to our dear auction, you should already know how this works. To prevent both any chance of being swindled or someone trying to force us to give them the best, you can only view the merchandise through a portal window.

"Of course, to show that it is not an illusion but an actual product, I will personally preform a blood oath on it's authenticity here and now."

He proceeded to pull out a knife and slit open his palm while drawing a contract out of his blood big enough for all to see. The dudes got some balls I'll give him that. To break a blood oath of that caliber wouldn't simply kill you, but do so in the longest most gruesome way possible.

Apparently everyone had thought the same as there was no complaints whatsoever. People just kept trying to hurry him along so they could start bidding.

"Get you wallets ready and prepare to be amazed!" He said while spinning his arm around in the air and casting some sort of spacial magic spell I haven't seen before. It's almost like my teleportation but instead of just instantly being transferred to your destination like I do, he actually created a person sized portal.

It was almost like he had placed a window randomly in the air and through it you could see a place completely different then the warehouse we were in. On the other side of the portal you could see what appeared to be rows up on rows of cages. And directly in the center there were four guards unlocking one of them.

Then slowly as they could, they grabbed what seemed to be a girl. She had a bag over her head and shackles on her wrists and ankles so I couldn't tell much about her. But something seemed really off.

I felt a weird tug in my gut and my vision blurred for a moment. What the hell is going on?...

          'ALICE......'

'No, no, no, no.... not right now... I can't deal with this right now....'

I can't afford to be losing it right now, not when there's so many innocent people to worry about. I had to try and do something to help the slaves and catch the Baron before he slips away.

Forcing myself to stand I glanced around to make sure Olterio was still here. I had spotted him when I first got her, the idiot was wearing a mask that only covered his right eye. I mean, how stupid could you be right?

Once I had caught sight of him and saw he was still too into the auction to leave, I turned back to the portal. That strange feeling growing every second.

"As promised, a one of a kind catch, a demon beast in human skin, I present a completely subdued, divine class, Fenrir in human form!!! Men, unmask the girl and let the bidders see what their fighting for!!!"

Looking through the portal as the men got closer to the girl the feeling in my stomach got so bad I fell to my knees. Then as they ripped the bag off of her head, my heart stopped....

        'LILY?!?!?.....'
