Dark Reincarnation: Nightshade

Chapter 75

                       Rose's POV

      It's already been a couple days since I was brought to this stupid place. Currently I'm in some kind of arena looking place with a dome like ceiling. There doesn't seem to be any doors or windows but I can only look around so much with these damn chains on my ankles.

      They haven't fed me or given me any water this whole time but I'm determined to hold out. I know my mom will come save me. I just hope she's careful, some people were in here yesterday and it looked like they were doing some kind of spell work or ritual.

     That and there's this crazy looking magic formation carved into the floor around the whole place. It had strange runes engraved in it and gave me an uneasy feeling whenever I looked at it.

        I wish they hadn't put a bag over my head when we were traveling, at least then I would have an idea as to where I'm at. All I was able to figure out was we traveled pretty far. After they first kidnapped me they threw me in a cage with a bag covering my head.

      I know we were in a wagon for awhile then on a boat I think. The rocking of it added to the fact I couldn't see had made me feel sick. I was relieved when we finally got off the damn thing.

       When they finally took the bag off my head I was in some sort of throne room or something and there was four men dressed like royalty sitting on the thrones. I couldn't really tell what they were saying but not long after a man opened my cage and hit me with something.

       When I came to I was chained up in this place. I really hope Cici is ok, I don't know what happened to her after they grabbed me. I just want to go home.

      Suddenly, I heard an explosion from somewhere outside of the building. Then another and another. Each one getting closer. A little bit later I heard something hit the wall really hard. It just kept hitting it making me start to worry.

           'What is that?... Is it trying to get in here?..'

    The walls seemed to shake with every hit until a sliver of light came through a small hole in the ceiling. The hole grew with each impact until it was about as wide as a basket.

    I could now hear screams of terror coming from outside. It sounded like hundreds of people were being ripped apart. Then it suddenly went quite before the wall exploded inward. I ducked to try and avoid the flying debris.

         "Rose!!!"

    I felt someone pick me up in a tight embrace that felt familiar. Once the dust cleared I saw that it was my mom, black flame seemed to flicker out around her and I thought I saw her eyes glowing for a second but in a blink they were back to normal.

              "Mom??"

                           "Thank the gods.. I found you .."

      I instantly felt tears start to well up in my eyes as I hugged her back. I knew she'd come for me. I just knew it. I don't know when or how she had broken the chains that were holding me but she turned around and started to carry me over to the hole in the wall.

      Then out of nowhere the entire room grew cold and the magic formation on the ground started to glow. My mom suddenly stopped walking as if her feet were glued to the floor.

               "What the??.. Fuck..."

       The next thing I knew my mom threw me out of the hole in the wall and I hit the ground hard. When I looked back all I could see was a weird light completely engulfing the building with my mom in it. When I tried to get closer I hit what seemed to be an invisible wall or something.

            "Mom!!!!.."
