When I woke up, I was not lying in my room. It looked different. I got up and went down a short flight of stairs and finally saw a familiar face. "Dean," I said cheerfully and gave him a hug. He smiled at me. "Hey Sweetie."
I breathed a sigh of relief. "Where are we?"
He laughed and brushed a strand of hair out of my face.
"I invited some people over tonight. That was okay, right? We're here to celebrate Sam's engagement, after all."
I looked at him, confused. "Sam's engaged?"
"Yeah, you know that. To Jo." I frowned. I had no idea since when. "Who else is coming?" He handed me a plate of pancakes and replied "Bobby, Cass, Ellen. Oh yeah, and Charlie." My eyes filled with tears.
"Charlie... Is alive?" Now, he was the one looking
confused. "Baby, is everything okay?" I nodded.
"Yeah, I'm just... tired that's all." I went back upstairs to change when the doorbell rang. Dean opened, and I heard a familiar voice. Charlie. I ran downstairs and hugged her tightly. "Oh my god, Charlie. I missed you so much." She smiled.
"I missed you too."She looked around. "You two enjoying your new life, without that hunting stuff?" With a nod, Dean added
"Oh yeah. Absolutely. It's what we always dreamed of."
I remained silent. What was going on here? We never stopped hunting. This couldn't be true. But it felt so real. "Be right back," Dean added and went to answer the door. Just as he was out of reach, Charlie nudged me.
"You two are such a great couple. You really remind me of Han and Leia. He's the sexy bad boy, you're the good but strong girl." I laughed at the reference.
"I know. He's so damn handsome." Charlie giggled.
"I can't judge that, but if you say so." Dean came back, followed by the other guests. I stand up and hugged
everyone.
We sat down at the table and Dean passed around a bottle of red wine. I poured myself a glass of it, but Dean immediately took it away from me. "I know you want to drink Sweetie, but you can't! Remember the baby! No alcohol for you." My eyes widened.
"What?" Everyone looked at me. "I'm pregnant?" Dean took my hand and looked me deep in the eyes. "Baby, what's wrong? You are very different today than usual. Is it the pregnancy?" I stared at him.
"Yeah, I guess. I'm sorry." He put an arm around me.
"It's fine Baby. Don't feel sorry." He kissed my forehead and I closed my eyes.
When I opened them, I was lying in my bed again. Dean lay next to me. I nudged him and he woke up. "Where are the others?" I asked, totally confused.
"Good morning to you too. What do you mean?" I sighed. What was happening here? "I mean Charlie and Sam... and Jo and..." He put his hand on my forehead.
"What the hell are you talking about? This party was years ago. Are you feeling sick?" I took a deep breath. "No, I just... I don't know. I have weird dreams. It must be the pregnancy." His eyes widened.
"You're pregnant? Again?"
"What do you mean, again?" I felt like I was losing my mind. Something was wrong. He stroked my hair.
"I mean our daughter. Ella." I froze. We had a daughter? Why didn't I remember? I quickly got up and walked around the house until I found the children's room where Ella was sleeping. She looked so peacefully in her tiny bed. I sat down next to her and looked at her with admiration. She opened her eyes and grabbed my finger with her tiny hand. Then she handed me a little notebook. "I made you a present. Here." I opened it and found several
pictures. Of Dean, Charlie, Sam, Jo and a lot more people, that I knew. It was all there. Could it be true? My head was spinning. What was going on here? I took the pictures and ran down the stairs. But I was too fast and hit my head on the door while running.
Suddenly, I saw images in front of my eyes of Dean, Sam and I pursuing a case. It was about a Djinn. We walked into an old warehouse and the djinn was standing right in front of me. But then, all the images became blurry.
A sharp pain spread through my chest and I realized something; It was all just an illusion.
Dean appeared with a smile but I pulled out a gun. "You are not Dean!" My voice trembled as I pointed the gun at him. He just kept smiling and asked "What do you mean?" I felt tears streaming down my face. "This isn't real. None of it was real." He stretched out his hand to me.
"You can be happy. With us. Think of Charlie and Ella. You could see them every day. In this world you won't
experience any pain. Don't you want to live happily ever after? It's what you've always wanted."
I took a deep breath. Of course, I wanted this life, but only if it was reality. But it wasn't. Slowly, I lifted the gun to my head. "Don't do this love." But I ignored him and pulled the trigger...
Immediately, the image blurred and I found myself in a warehouse. It was the same one I had seen just before. Someone was holding me in his arms. "Everything's gonna be alright." I could hear Dean's voice, but couldn't see him. My head was still spinning.
As the image slowly came back into focus, I finally saw him in front of me. Sam was also there and smiled at me. I was about to smile back, but then I saw the Djinn standing a few meters behind the boys. I gasped and looked at them. "Watch out!" They instantly turned around and stared to fight against him. Sam was about to surprise him from behind when he turned around and stabbed him in the arm. Then he threw Sam roughly against the wall.
He had been so busy with Sam that he hadn't even noticed Dean draw his knife. Without hesitation, Dean stabbed him in the back. The Djinn let out a scream and vanished into thin air.***
I woke up in a hospital bed with Sam and Dean sitting on chairs next to me. "How are you feeling?" Sam asked.
I took a deep breath. "Like shit." He laughed while I slowly sat up.
"What did you see?" I threw Dean a sad smile.
"We had a normal life, Sam was engaged, and.... Charlie was alive." I took a deep breath.
"You won't like it but I have to bring her back. I have to. Please, don't stop me."
Dean nodded. "We'll help you."

The ritual didn't sound complicated at all, for being able to bring a human being back to life. I was grateful that Rowena had not already removed the Mark of Cain from Dean's arm, because now we needed the mark. I was
going to transfer it to Charlie so she would wake up and then I would destroy it forever.
"And then you can just bring her back to life that easy?" Sam looked at me, questioningly.
"No, it's definitely not easy. It also needs a human sacrifice, but we already have that, since you and Rowena... took care of the man who killed Charlie."
I walked into the room where she had died. Immediately, I had the image before my eyes, how she lay motionless on the bed.
I cleared my throat and began to cast the spell. The room instantly became colder. I turned to Dean and pressed my lips to his. He looked at me in surprise.
"We need this for the spell," I said softly and kissed him again until his arm began to glow. Then the mark was gone. I closed my eyes and continued with the spell. My head began to ache, it felt as if someone would press pure iron to it.
Dean quickly ran over and supported me so I wouldn't fall. Blood was dripping from my nose but I didn't stop. This wasn't as easy as I had imagined it to be, but I wanted it to succeed. I needed Charlie to come back.
Finally, I could feel the spell starting to work. My eyes snapped open and I saw Charlie lying on the bed.

After we told her everything, she shook her head.
"Wow, I can't believe it. I was really dead?" Sam nodded slightly. "I don't know what to say. Thank you."
I grinned at her. "You don't have to thank us. Because of you, we were finally able to remove the mark. Forever." She smiled broadly and added "Gladly, I could help, but now I need a break from all this stuff. A long break."
