"English, makinig kayo. Masyado na tayong late para rito. Ngayong araw ay i-dedestino ko kayo sa Peril National High School and you'll be teaching your personal student there," the stern voice of our prof. in NSTP echoed in our room. "Since I already told you to prepare your learning materials, please use them as a guide. And I'll remind you again, be on time."
Kasi po sabi niyo di niyo alam yung pinakang-date ng pagtuturo," Jessica asked with a little tone of voice.
Nagbuntong-hininga si ma'am at nakapamewang. "Olivar, nakikinig ka ba? That's why I told you to prepare it."
"May dala akong materials, hiramin mo ba muna?" I beamed at her, offering my things.
Lumingon siya sa akin saka umiling. "Wag na lang, Van. Mag-get-to-know-each-other pa lang naman kami ng estudyante ko."
Tumango-tango ako. She's right, hindi naman dapat ay ibibigla ang estudyante sa pagtuturo baka ma-overwhelm. She has to know her student first before diving into a lesson.
All of them have their own fixed schedule.
I often caught Herin staring into nothingness these passed few days.
She's a very hard-working person.
She is really fond of teaching.
I asked them.
Milan pouted as she remembered something sad happened. "Patay na si Timothy, yung pusa ko. Ayun, na-stress ang lola niyo."
"Condolences, Mil," I uttered sincerely, I even patted her shoulder.
"Another angel left the earth, may your cat rest in peace," she smiled sadly at her.
"Salamat, guys-" nangunot ang noo ni Milan. "Te, bakit ganyan ang mata mo? Nagsusunog-kilay ka, 'no?
Herin brushes her right eye before smiling.
It made Herin groaned inwardly.
Herin is expecting she would surpass her previous grades. It's just sad she has already 2 in our previous subject. I just don't think she deserves it.
