A New/Old Nemesis

Emma's POV
I got woken up by a loud ass phone call. I picked up my phone and squinted at the name. It says 'Idiot in Charge' which means the king the calling. I answered. "What" I groaned. "Bring your bandits. We have a big problem" he said. "Kay" I hung up. I doubt its a big problem.

"Its like seven in the morning. This better be good" Clay said. "I'm down for murder if you are" Joey said. "No ones murdering anyone. We just have to hear what he says" I said. We walked into the throne room. "Ah! Bandits! Thank you for coming so early." The king said. He looks anxious. "What's going on?" I asked. "One of the most dangerous prisoners escaped. Seeing how, the bandits locked her up before, I was hoping you could do it again" he said. "I don't understand. Prisoners have escaped before. What's so different about this one?" I asked. "This one has a bit of a background with the bandits. I needed to tell you immediately because well... she's gonna try to kill you" he said. "What? But we aren't even the same bandits" I said. "No, but you were trained by Carter, which is all the motivation she needs" he said. "Wait... who exactly is this prisoner?" I asked. "Her name is Sara Hitchcock" he said. "Shit" I mumbled. "Please be cautious bandits. Protect the people you love. This woman is smart and powerful." He said. "Thank you for warning us your majesty. We'll take action immediately" I said. We left.

"What was that?" Clay asked. "That, is Carters crazy ex girlfriend that has it out for the bandits. Noah, Oliver, bring your partners to the lair. They aren't safe in the open" I said. They nodded and ran off. "Is she really that dangerous?" Siren asked. "I don't know much about her, but I'm guessing she is by how stressed the idiot was" I said. "Sara Hitchcock... Sara Sara Sara... yes! I remember her. Oh... yeah we're fucked" Joey said. "You know her?" I asked. "We were in the same prison. She's a phaser. She can make her body 'unreal' so she can morph through things. It also practically gives her teleportation. She's a genius hacker too. We cant take any chances with her. She's a literal maniac" Joey said. "Thanks for the compliments" we heard. We turned around. "Oh my god" I said. Sara is Carters height with short pink hair and matching eyes. Supers don't usually keep their power colors out. They have a natural eye color and then their power color, which they can change their eye color to. Sara smiled at us. "So you're the team that Carter made huh? You look like hell. Where is Carter anyway?" she asked. "She left the island" I said. "Aw man. Was hoping to get the last laugh. I guess Ill have to settle for you" she said. I shot my gun at her and she turned into this pink cloud that the bullet went straight through. The cloud swooshed around and then turned back into Sara. "You must be her little prodigy." She said. "How did you escape?" I asked. "I've been working on it for years. Took me forever to overpower the cuff" she said. "You broke out of a power restraining cuff?" Joey said shocked. Sara looked at her. "Oh wow. I remember you. I cant believe you became a bandit. What a waste" Sara said. "We need to get out of here" Courtney whispered. "Joey" I said. She looked at me and I raised an eyebrow. She tossed down her smoke bombs and we all ran away in the smoke.

We made it back in once piece. Siren had to drag Joker with us because she had no idea what was going on. We're all panting for breath. "Woah. What happened to you guys?" Oliver asked. "Sara happened. We had to escape" I said. Joker turned back into Joey. "I'm still confused. How do you know anything about Sara?" Siren asked me. "Carter told me when we dated. And from what we just saw, Sara cannot know that Carter and I dated" I said. "Duh! She'll target and torture you" Joey said. "So what do we do now?" Clay asked. "We have to make a plan. I just have no idea how to catch someone that we cant touch" I said. "Maybe we should focus on the smaller things first" Stephanie said. "Like what?" I asked. "Well. Noah, Oliver, are your partners ok?" Stephanie asked. "Yeah. They're in our room." Noah said. "Ok. Can I talk to them?" I asked. They nodded and led me to their room.

"What's your boyfriends name?" I asked Oliver. "Louis" he said. "Ok" I said. We walked into the room. They looked over. "Hi Farrah. Hi Louis. I'm not gonna stop you from leaving because that's cruel. But if you do need to go somewhere, then you have to take your boyfriend with you because this bitch is... something else" I said. "Wow Emma. You really grew from the last time I saw you" Farrah said. "Nice to see you too Farrah. And nice to meet you Louis, even though this is bad timing" I said. He smiled. I turned to Noah. "You protect her." I said pointing at Farrah. "I know" he said. "Just reminding you. Wouldn't want you to forget" I said innocently. Farrah bursted out laughing. Noah's jaw hit the floor and I walked out of the room. I stopped. "Oh, and clean your room. It smells like body spray in there!" I yelled through the hall. "That's all Noah!" Oliver yelled back.

I'm sitting with Joey. "So what do you know about her?" She asked. "I know she hacked into peoples bank accounts so when they left the island they had no money. That, and she dated Carter" I said. "I already told you what I know. We don't have enough information to make a plan" She said. "How do you catch a phaser?" I asked. She shrugged. "The only people that know that..." she led on. "Aren't here" I finished. "Maybe we should call Carter" she said. "We cant. Sara's a hacker. She'll know if we call her" I said. "Its better we do it now then never. She may not have all her materials yet. We have to move fast" she said. I groaned. "Fine. Ill call Carter" I said.

I took a deep breath and pressed the call button. I started sweating as it rang. "If you leave a message, I wont listen to it. Call later" her voice message said. I called again, and again, and again, until I finally just called Tony instead. "I don't do voice mail so don't leave a message at the beep" his voice message said. I called him again, and again, and again and nothing. "They didn't answer." I said walking into the living room. "You called Tony too?" Siren asked. "Yep" I said. "More than once?" Joey asked. "Yeah. They went straight to voice mail" I said. "She must have cut off our communication already" Joey said. "We need Tony and Carter. I hate to do this, but I'm gonna have to send some of you to go get them" I said. "What?!" They said. "Yeah. We have no choice. Joey, can Joker sniff them out?" I asked. "Yeah, but don't you need us here. You need all the help you can get" she said. "Yes, and Carter and Tony are the best help we can have right now" I said. She sighed. "Ok" Joey said. "Siren, you'll go with her. Until you get back, the rest of us will try to lay low" I said. "Good luck Emma" Siren said. "Good luck to you too" I said.
