Final Mission

Emma's POV
I'm standing outside with Riley. The team is scattered around the island. Riley's sitting on a rock and I'm leaning against it while we watch the marketplace. Everyone went silent and a bunch of whispers emerged. We looked over. "The adults are here" I said shocked. Riley squinted at them as they were brought to the castle. They all look like they were drugged. They're dragging their feet and they're half asleep. "Damn. They already look dead" I said. I looked at Riley and she looks horrified. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Remember when I told you I was the second generation of hero's?" She asked. "Yeah?" I said. "That's the first!" She said pointing at the adults. "Those are the arrows?" I asked. "Yeah" she said. "But why would they bring hero's here?" I asked. "They didn't used to be hero's. They must have done something to the king before they switched to the good side" she said. "Oh my god. We're fucked" I said. "And there's a new problem" she said standing up and stepping back. I looked in the direction she was looking. The kids from the marketplace are coming towards us. They want answers. "Emma... what do we do?" Riley asked. "RUN!" I yelled.

"Everyone's here? Everyone's got all their limbs?" I asked. The whole team got attacked today. "Everybody is looking for us. They want answers but we don't have any! What are we gonna do?" Courtney asked. "We lay low." I said. "How? Everyone knows us!" Clay said. My eyes widened as I got an idea. "Not all of us" I said looking at Hazel and Riley. "Are you sure?" Riley asked. "Those are your adults. So you need to figure out a way to save them" I said. She hesitated but nodded.

Riley's POV
"So you're really a super hero?" Hazel asked. "Yeah. I'm the black arrow" I said. "Black arrow... like, from the arrows?" She asked. "You know of us?" I asked. "Duh. I watch tv" she said. I smiled. "Those are my friends parents. If they've been brought here then I'm sure my friends will be close behind" I said. "Like them?" Hazel asked. I looked over. "Shit. Duck" I said. We hid in the crowd. "Why are we hiding from your friends?" Hazel asked. "They're here for their parents. They're gonna get themselves killed. We gotta go back home" I said. "Why?" Hazel asked as I dragged her. "Because they saved me from poverty. I'm not gonna let them run straight into that death trap" I said. "How did they even get here?" Hazel asked. I looked back at the dock and then turned back to Hazel. "Bitches stole my boat" I said. "You have a boat?" Hazel asked shocked.

Emma's POV
"You want us to raid the kings castle, overthrow him, break out your friends parents, and then help you all escape?" I asked. "Yes" Riley said. "Are you insane?" I asked. She blinked a few times. "I jump off skyscrapers on a daily basis just for the good of the city. No payment at all. You think I'm not?" Riley asked. I took a deep breath. We're in our room right now. "You're gonna leave today Riley." I said. Her eyes softened. "Is that why you're hesitating to jump in?" She asked. "I don't want you to go" I said. She walked to me and hugged me. "You can always come with me. And if not, I will call you every single day until I get time to visit or until you leave" she said. I took a deep breath, inhaling her scent. "Ok" I said pulling back. "Lets go save your family" I said.

We ran up to the castle. "Yo, we gotta talk to Felix" I said. "He's not taking guests right now" the guard said. I slammed him into the wall, held him by his neck, and held my gun to his head. "Open. The. Door." I growled. He scrambled to open the door. "Oh, and don't tell anyone we're here" I said glaring at him. He nodded quickly. "Stephanie, you worked in this place. Do you remember where the dungeon is?" I asked. "Follow me" she said. We all followed her.

After running for a bit, we were stopped. "Hey!" Some guards yelled. We're surrounded. "Ok team. Do what you have to do to get us through here. Just don't kill anyone" I said. "No problem" Clay said. We all started shooting rapidly at the guards. We made it through the hallway. "That it?" I asked. "Yeah. We're here. Where are your people?" Stephanie asked. "They're here. I know it. Retro! Where are you? Don't worry! Its safe!" Riley shouted. A girl dressed in orange slowly peeked around the corner with a ready arrow to shoot. "Riley?" She asked. "Retro!" Riley smiled. "Who are they and what are you doing here? We thought you were on vacation" Retro said as the rest of her team walked up behind her. They're all dressed in a different color. "Are you in a gay team?" I asked Riley. She rolled her eyes. "Wherever you got that was a lie. I've been trapped here for months. Oh, and these are the Teen Bandits. They're basically the cops of the island. And this is Emma. She's their leader, and she's my girlfriend." Riley said. "You left for two months and got a girl? Damn!" Retro said. Riley ran to her and hugged her. "Hate to break this up, but we gotta break out your parents now before more guards come" I said. They ran to the dungeon and we followed.

After they got their parents, we ran out through the throne room. Stephanie said it was the fastest route. "Emma Dune" the kings voice echoed through the hall. We all stopped and looked over. I took a deep breath and calmed down. "King Felix" I said calmly. "You're leader of the Teen Bandits and yet you dare to betray the island?" He asked. "No I didn't. I betrayed you. And you, betrayed the island" I said. The bandits gasped. "Excuse me?" The king asked. "You captured all these innocent adults for no reason whatsoever. Which breaks the number one rule of Teen Island. No adults under any circumstances" I said. "I have my reasons! And they don't concern you!" He yelled. "Hold up. Did you say Felix?" One of the adults asked. I turned to her. "Yes?" I said. "Oh. We killed your family and now you want revenge. As an old villain myself, I tip my hat to you. Respect. But wouldn't that make you like twenty two?" She asked. I turned back to the king with a smirk. "No!" He panicked. I knew I was right. "Guards!" He yelled. The arrows all got ready to shoot. "Oh don't bother. We got this. Joey?" I asked. "With pleasure" Joey said. Joey threw down a smoke bomb and Joker jumped out of the smoke. "Oh... quite the crowd" Joker said looking at the arrows. "Yeah. Now attack the guards" I said. She smiled. "Didn't think you'd ever say that!" She said excitedly. "She's a prankster?" The arrows said shocked. I'm surprised they know what that is. "Jokers the name actually. I don't know why I'm protecting adults from these people" Joker said, kicking a guard in the face. "But hey, I do whatever my girl accepts" Joker said. Siren and I smiled at each other. When Joker finished, she landed in front of us. "Get them out of here. Ill make sure you're not followed" Joker said. We all ran out.

"So... I guess this is goodbye?" Riley asked. "Yeah, about that. I'm gonna go with you" I said. She smiled. "Really?!" She said shocked. "If you leave, I know Ill be miserable. I'm all yours babe." I said. She hugged me. "Thank god. I really didn't wanna leave without you" she said. "What?! You cant leave!" Clay shrieked. "Clay. You cant stop me" I said. "Whos gonna lead the bandits?" He asked. I smiled. "You." I said. "I'm sorry what?" He asked, dumbfounded. "You've always been amazing Clay. You were the only person who ever challenged me. When we were training, and even now. Even Carter knew you were great. You deserve to be the leader" I said. His ears drooped down. "But... I don't want you to go" he said. "Its ok Clay. You're always gonna be my best friend" I said. He smiled. "Call me ok?" He said. I nodded. I hugged him tightly. "You'll be ok" I said.

Siren and Joey ran up to me. "Emma. We have a question" Siren said. "What?" I asked. "Can we go with you?" Siren asked. "What?!" Clay shrieked again. "You wanna leave the island?" I asked. "When we left together to go find Carter and Tony, it was fun. We wanna have more experiences like that together. We wanna travel" Joey said. I smiled. "Get your bags" I said. They smiled. "Hold on! You all cant just leave" Clay said. "Everything will be fine Clay." I said. "No. I mean you cant leave... before we take one last team photo" Clay said. I smiled and huffed a laugh. He held up his phone. "Everyone in. You too Riley" Clay said. We all squeezed into the frame and he took the photo. "Group hug!" Oliver said pushing us all together. We laughed. "I love you guys. And thank you, for everything" I said. "Thank you Emma." Courtney said. The team smiled at me. "Bye guys" I said.
