" I know you're upset with your brother but- - - -

" Upset? I'm not upset Ma, I'm fucking livid! "

He almost stood up habang sinasabi iyon. His brother's smile was playing over and over again inside his mind and it's driving him mad.

" This is the right time to bury the hatchet son ha- - - - "

Hindi niya na naman pinatapos ang mama niya sa gustong sabuhin nito.

" I was beaten half to death, no one's burying anything and no one's forgiving someone. "

He coldly said. Despise is not strong enough to describe what he feel for the brother who abandoned him.

" Your brother visited you to the hospital every single day and he said he tried to stopped the boys who beat you. And now he's home because he wants to apologize to you, please just talk to him son. "

He could hear the tremble in his mother's voice. But his hatred just won't let him have the courage to face  his bastard of a brother.

" It's been 10 years son, have the heart to forgive him. "

Donovan stared at his crying mother.

" Yeah it was a long time ago but the scars are still here Ma, just by mentioning the word brother makes me shiver in disgust! "

He pulled his hair in frustration, those horrible memories are still clear  as day, as if it happened just yesterday, the feeling of being hopeless is still there. He can still feel the kicks, the punches and the abandonment of his brother.

Even if they hate each other he never imagined that his brother would betray him when he needed him the most because for him he would do anything to help his brother, hell he never imagined himself hurting his own brother but the bastard would gladly sell him to anyone and that's what hurts the most.

" He's my brother Ma but why did he have to do that? I just can't grasp the fact that he despises me so much that he would actually let me die. "

Naikuyom niya ang dalawa niyang kamay at pinigilan ang sariling maiyak, he's a man he shouldn't let his mother see the weak side of him. He unclenched his fists and collected himself.

Nagpameywang siya sa sobrang inis habang nakatingin sa mama niyang nakaluhod pa rin.

Few minutes passed, he sighed in defeat.
