Blue Deeds

"Here, we pray the pillars to wake up. Today! Right at the break of dawn. When this man killed our Honourable King, he too shall be slain. Deprived of your holy power, he is not worthy of them. Awake! Awake! Awake!"

As the priest was pursuing the Pillars to take away all the powers from Aditya, the Pillars woke up. But they couldn't raise their heads. They stayed bent towards the centre where Aisha stood. The world of Maya Lok illuminated by the glow of the moon, was now under the influence of the glowing lights of the four Pillars. Bright! The green, red, white and blue radiating from the heads of the Pillars. Everyone, every power in the world was awakened with the pillars. Everyone knew something was going on at the pillars. All the eyes started to glow as their powers spirited up by the source and a sudden rush of energy ran through all the nerves of all Mayavi. All Mayavi! Even her.

Aditya, hung in pain with his head bent towards the Stage, was looking down the cliff with his eyes glowing blue. He wasn't ready for what was happening to him. He knew he was innocent. But he also knew he couldn't be saved.
In this last moment of his life, as much as he wanted to be saved, he had already given up. He was looking at the river that was flowing far down the cliffside. The water, that has been his friend all his life. But his friend, his best friend, he was being accused of killing, today. The friend for whom he had given up every passion he ever had in his life. From his childhood desire to become a Mayavi ambassador and maintain relations with Earth, he became Divyansh's Royal Minister, his right hand. He gave up his dreams. But for what? His friend couldn't even save him from the false accusation of having a human affair and relations with other tribal magic holders. He was never planning to bring the Mayavi throne down, but, he was accused, and he was banished. And so, since then, he's been undercover. All because his best friend couldn't stand against the priest who threatened to disclose his wife's truth. For that one man, Divyansh, he never lived his life. He only kept on following and obeying his friend and today, he was going to die obeying the same friend who died eighteen years ago. He promised to give his daughter a happy life without ever telling her anything, and so he had done it. He had proved his friendship, his obedience and his love and respect for Maya Lok and its people.

But now he was about to lose everything. The water, he was capable of controlling was soon to become unknown to him. The moment he loses his powers, he will lose his only best friend, now water. Because, Divyansh, he had lost a long time ago. But now, he'll lose everything that ever connected them. The moment he loses his powers, he will no longer be what he has been all his life. The moment he'd lose his powers, he'd no longer be living. But his head. His head was still not ready to surrender. He couldn't die like a criminal. He wasn't a criminal. And he couldn't die like one. He was determined to die like Mayavi, he was. He won't die a death of a human. And this, he was looking down for, down at the water to listen to him for the last time. Down at the water to set him free and immerse him into its depth so that never, those Mayavi could kill him for what he hasn't done. He was looking into the water for it to show its obedience to him, to show its powers to him and the entire world, to grant him a justiciable death and to grant him peace.

The metal balls had been absorbing all his magic. But, now they were ordered to suck in every single bit of magic from him and return it back to the Pillars. They illuminated blue and threw a huge amount of blueness towards the pillars as Aditya screamed out loudly in pain. Magic being pulled away is a lot more painful than death. A lot more painful than absorbing even the last drop of someone's blood. Because, blood is only taken from veins, but magic, it's an attachment of the soul. Magic isn't in the body, it's in the soul. It's a detachable part of life. But when it is taken away, it hurts a lot more than anything. Aditya's soul was being humiliated.
