HOSEOK POV

I woke up to Jin Hyung’s loud voice echoing through the room.
“Wake up, Hobi!”

Groaning, I rubbed my face, everything around me sounding loud and messy. I didn’t open my eyes, but I could hear my brothers bickering.

“Jungkook, wake up!” Jin yelled again.

“Stop shouting!” Yoongi grumbled, throwing a pillow at him.

“Where’s Y/n?” Taehyung asked, but no one answered.

“Namjoon Hyung! Come out, I need the bathroom!” Jimin was banging on the door.

“Where is Y/n?” Taehyung repeated, louder this time.

“She’s not here. Now wake up,” Yoongi responded.

“Namjoon, you’ve been in there for an hour! Come out!”

“Jungkook! If you don’t wake up now, I’ll throw out all your games!” Jin threatened.

“Hyung, I’m awake!” Jungkook mumbled, pulling his blanket up, but Jin yanked it off and tossed it across the room.

“Say yeah,” Jin ordered.

“Yeah,” Jungkook replied.

“Louder!”

“YEAH!”

“Stop your circus. Start getting ready,” Yoongi snapped.

I sat up. “Did anyone see Mother?”

She looked tense last night, like something was bothering her. I asked her, but she brushed it off, saying it was about Y/n and the bond, and that the King and Queen were arriving soon. Still, I felt like there was more she wasn’t telling me. I didn’t mention it to the others — I didn’t want to worry them.

“No. Why? Did she come last night?” Jin asked, shaking Jungkook again.

“Yes,” I said while getting out of bed. I saw Namjoon coming out of the bathroom, so I shoved past Jimin and got in before he could.

“Hey! I was waiting!” Jimin shouted behind me.

Soomin came in to tell us to get ready — the King and Queen were arriving.

We showered and changed. It took Jin Hyung an entire hour to convince Jungkook to stop whining about not seeing Y/n and to put on his clothes. The others weren’t easy either, but convincing Kook was always the hardest.

The maids helped us in the walk-in closet, dressing us in fancy suits, fixing our hair — the whole thing took forever.

“It’s too tight, Hyung,” Taehyung muttered, tugging at his tie.

“Let me see,” I said, loosening it a little. “Better?”

He nodded softly.

Everyone was rushing around.

“Mother didn’t wake us today. When did Y/n leave our room?” Taehyung asked, watching the bustle.

“Mother must’ve asked someone to take her out before anyone noticed she wasn’t in her room,” I replied.

At dinner, the way Grandmother spoke to Mother made me so angry. Something inside me burned — a violent urge I couldn’t understand. I glanced at Namjoon sitting beside me; his eyes were fixed on the Queen. Did he feel it too?

Later, I went to Y/n’s room — it wasn’t far from ours. My brothers and I shared a huge room, practically three rooms combined. Our parents always asked if we wanted our own rooms, but we didn’t like being apart.

I opened her door, and she was sitting on the bed. Her face lit up when she saw me.

“Hobi!” she smiled and reached out her hands.

I walked over, and she pulled me down beside her.

“Look what I found!” She opened her hand, showing me colorful crystals.

“Where did you get these?” I asked.

“Soomin gave them to me. She said I could play with them.”

“Let’s make something.”

We made a bracelet with seven different crystals, and I tied it on her left hand.

“It’s so pretty,” she whispered, admiring it.

“We should sleep,” I told her, standing. I bent down, and she wrapped her arms around my shoulders. I slipped my arms under her legs and lifted her up. She rested her chin on my shoulder.

Suddenly, we heard a noise and ducked behind a large pillar.

Footsteps — warriors passing by. I held my breath and peeked, but I couldn’t see their faces clearly. They moved on, and I finally exhaled.

Then someone tapped Y/n’s shoulder, and she gasped. I turned instantly, eyes flashing.

“Hyung, it’s me!” Jimin blinked at us.

“You scared me,” Y/n said.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to. I just saw you while passing by.”

My heart was racing. I didn’t know why. After everything with Mother and the Queen…

“Hyung, your eyes…” Jimin pointed.

“What?” I touched my face.

“They changed color.”

I handed Y/n to him. She clung to Jimin like a little koala.

I took a few deep breaths, inhaling Y/n’s scent — it calmed me down.

“They’re back to normal now,” Jimin said.

“Let’s go before someone sees us,” I said.

Y/n and Jimin chatted the whole way. He asked about her day, what she ate, and she answered while occasionally glancing at me. Her head rested on his shoulder, face close to his neck.

“You’re late, Hyung! We’ve been waiting forever,” Jungkook said, opening the door.

Y/n lifted her head.

“Close the door, Jungkook! Someone will see!” Jin hissed.
