As Y/N stepped inside, one of the flower’s petals folded inward, forming a staircase beneath her feet. She descended cautiously, her eyes widening as she took in the room. It was surprisingly spacious, with two bunk beds, a table, and everything she’d need, all nestled within the glowing petals.

“Hello,” a soft voice called out. Y/N turned to see a girl with long orange hair stepping out, towel-drying her damp locks. Her vivid green eyes met Y/N’s blue ones, studying her with quiet curiosity.

“I’m Tori,” she said gently, her voice barely above a whisper. “I hope it’s alright—I took the lower bunk.” Her tone was so timid that Y/N had to lean in slightly to catch the words.

“That’s fine,” Y/N replied warmly, her instinct to soothe kicking in. “I don’t mind at all.” She offered a reassuring smile, and after a moment, Tori’s lips curved into a shy smile of her own.

Y/N climbed to the upper level of the room, taking in her new space. It was cozy yet well-equipped, with a neatly made bed, a small desk, a bookshelf filled with blank journals, and a wardrobe tucked into the corner. Everything she needed was there, perfectly arranged.

She ran her hand over the desk, feeling the smooth wood beneath her fingers. “Not bad,” she murmured, a small smile tugging at her lips. It felt like a little sanctuary, all her own.

Y/N opened the big window, and a cold breeze hit her face, sending a shiver down her spine. But she liked it—the chill was refreshing, almost invigorating. She closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the sensation as the evening sky began to darken.

After a few moments, Y/N pulled herself back from the window, lying on her stomach in bed as her mind wandered. After a while, curiosity got the better of her. She poked her head through the large opening beside her bed, peering down toward Tori’s lower bunk.

"Hey, Tori," she called softly, "any idea how I get my luggage?”

“So, I’m supposed to use my watch to send a signal to Nyx for my luggage," Y/N muttered, glancing down at Tori, who had already told her twice.

After six frustrating attempts, the watch finally beeped, signaling success. Y/N blinked at it in disbelief before looking down at Tori with confusion.

Tori's green eyes lit up as she smiled up at Y/N. "So, it worked!" she said cheerfully, clearly pleased.

After some time, four Nyx arrived, their tiny forms radiating annoyance as they dropped her luggage with a dramatic thud. One of them flew right up to her, pointing a sharp finger and letting out a flurry of angry, unintelligible sounds before huffing loudly and storming off. The others followed suit, their wings buzzing furiously as they disappeared out the window.

As soon as they were gone, Tori looked up at her with a small smile. “They said if you bring this much luggage next time, you’ll have to carry it yourself,” she explained.

Y/N blinked, not entirely pleased with the news. "Well, that’s... fantastic," she muttered.

Apparently, Tori could not only understand them but also talk to them. Y/N couldn’t help but be impressed—and slightly envious.
