The moon hung high above Draconians Academy, casting a silvery glow over the Forbidden Forest. Towering trees swayed gently, their leaves whispering secrets as the group ventured deeper into the shadows. Jin and Yoongi led the way, their sharp eyes scanning every movement in the darkness, while Y/N and Tori followed close behind.

Further back, Jungkook, Jimin, Taehyung, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Hanbin moved in silence, their usual banter replaced by tense focus. The weight of the night pressed against them, an unspoken warning in the cool air.

As they approached a fork in the path, Hanbin turned to Y/N. “We’re taking the western route. It’s the safest way to complete the challenge.”

Y/N furrowed her brows. “And the other path?” she asked, pointing toward the western trail.

Jin hesitated, his gaze meeting hers for a fleeting moment. There was something in his eyes—concern, maybe even warning—but he said nothing. Instead, he turned away, his back rigid, as if the answer was something he didn’t want to voice.

Hanbin’s expression darkened. “The eastern path is cursed,” he said coldly. “No one who takes it ever comes back.”

Tori, standing too close to the forbidden path, stared at the raw, twisting branches ahead, as if drawn to the eerie unknown. Hanbin’s sharp eyes flicked to her, his jaw tightening.

They walked for nearly an hour, the dense canopy above swallowing the moonlight and casting eerie shadows across the forest floor. The rhythmic crunch of leaves beneath their boots and the occasional snap of a twig filled the heavy silence, accompanied by the distant howls of unseen creatures. A chilled breeze slithered through the trees, sending a shiver down Y/N’s spine. She pulled her cloak tighter, her gaze flickering between the towering, ancient trees that seemed to whisper secrets in the dark. Every rustle, every flicker of movement in the underbrush made her heartbeat quicken, a silent reminder that they were not alone in the night.

Jungkook walked ahead, his eyes scanning the dimly lit path when suddenly, his foot caught on something. Before he could react, he slipped, landing hard on the uneven ground. A sharp sting shot through his hand as it scraped against a jagged rock.

“Ah—damn it,” he hissed, pulling his hand up to inspect it. Blood trickled from a fresh gash across his palm, staining his skin a deep red.

“Jungkook!” Jin was the first to rush to his side, eyes wide with concern.

Namjoon and Hoseok crouched down beside Jungkook, their eyes narrowing at the wound. With a flick of his palm, Hoseok summoned a soft, golden light, illuminating the deep gash on Jungkook’s hand. The others closed in, their expressions shifting from irritation to concern.

Jin let out a sharp breath as he examined the injury. “It’s deep,” he muttered, already pulling a water bottle from his bag. He twisted the cap off and poured the cool liquid over Jungkook’s palm, washing away the blood that continued to seep from the wound.
