As Y/N yelled, she pointed excitedly at her brother's red dragon perched gracefully above. She ran toward it, shouting, "Come down!"
The dragon, unfazed, ignored her entirely.
"Come down here, you oversized lizard!" Y/N shouted, pointing at her brother's red dragon lounging smugly on a rocky ledge above.
The dragon didn't even flinch, its glowing eyes staring down at her with a mix of boredom and amusement.
"Don't be mean!" Y/N called, huffing as she held up a small pouch. "I brought your favorite food!"
At the mention of food, the dragon tilted its head, clearly intrigued, but still didn't move. Y/N narrowed her eyes, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, so you're going to play hard to get now, huh?"
Finally, the dragon descended with a slow, almost arrogant grace, its wings spreading wide before it landed with a soft thud.
"Where's Binie?" Y/N asked as she took a cautious step forward. The dragon didn't answer-not that she expected it to-but instead leaned in, sniffing her like a curious dog. Its nostrils flared as it carefully examined her from head to toe.
"What are you doing?" she muttered, stepping back slightly. "Do I smell weird or something?"
The dragon sniffed again, then let out a low, guttural rumble that vibrated through the ground. Y/N swore it sounded suspiciously like no.
"Wait, is that a yes?" she asked, mock-offended. "Do I look pretty at least?"
The dragon rumbled once more, this time producing a noise that sounded remarkably like stifled laughter.
"Hey! Stop being mean!" Y/N exclaimed, crossing her arms as the dragon snorted and turned away, its tail flicking with amusement.
"You know," Y/N muttered, glaring at the mischievous beast, "for a creature that relies on me for snacks, you sure have a bad attitude."
The dragon's only response was a playful puff of smoke, leaving Y/N scowling and muttering under her breath.
"Y/N, I heard you were selected! You're coming to the school," Hanbin said with a proud smile.
As Y/N looked up, she saw her brother walking toward her, his blond hair styled perfectly, his attire immaculate. He exuded grace and confidence, every step deliberate and poised.
As Y/N showed she couldn't contain her excitement. She jumped at him, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly. "I missed you! Without you, it's like living in hell there."
Hanbin held her tightly as she clung to him, his arms protective yet gentle. He smiled down at his little sister.
Y/N felt a sense of calm wash over her as she saw her brother. There he was-a steady presence in her life, the one good thing that had happened amidst the chaos of the past five years.
Her brother. Her knight in shining armor.
"I heard you were gone on a mission," Y/N asked, her voice filled with curiosity as they made their way down the hall.
"Yeah, our mission ends tomorrow, and we need to report back," Hanbin replied, his tone serious. "And don't ask about it-I can't tell you."
Y/N huffed, crossing her arms. "Fine," she muttered, not pressing further.
Hanbin glanced at her with a knowing look, then Y/N spoke, "And I know you don't want to know, but Mother sent you a letter."
Hanbin's face tightened at the mention of their mother. "I don't want to hear what that woman has to say," he said dismissively, his words cutting off any chance of further conversation on the matter.
