The Dance Of Creation

When Parvati woke up to the celestial sound;
And could not find Shiva around,

It could only mean one thing;
Shiva would dance and His Dumroo would sing.

The sound vibrated on the frequency of Aum;
The source of all creation and norm.

And with Shiva, danced the Kailash peak;
No one could say a word or speak.

So mesmerised were they by the Divine sight;
Shiva as Nataraj, the source of wisdom and light.

In Vaikunth, Lord Vishnu heard the divine sound;
It deeply engrossed Him and had Him bound.

He came running to Kailash Maa Lakshmi along;
And Himself became a part of Shiva's transcendental song.

Seeing Shiva, danced the Sun and the Moon;
Adding their aura to the blissful tune.

The Ganga flowing from His long hair;
Excited to join in and have Her share.

Seeing all the elements accompany Shiva in dance,
Parvati joined in with Her Lasya cadence.

As ShivShakti danced in unison, they didn't seem like two different entities. They were indeed one, like Ardhanarishwar.

With one step on the ground, and the other foot in the air, Shiva was Nataraj, and Shakti was His Nritya.

When Shiva was Raag, Shakti was His Taal.

When Shiva was rhythm, Shakti was His tune.

When Shiva was destruction, Shakti was creation.

They were One being, with no beginning and no ending. Their vastness could not be measured. It seemed like They had the infinite Sky as Their adornment.

Shiva danced to dispel ignorance.
Shakti danced to destroy arrogance.

Shiva danced to deliver evil.
Shakti danced to conserve good.

Shiva danced to experience.
Shakti danced to express.

With every beat, flowers bloomed, nature flourished, and the Cosmos merged with Them.

Everything that existed, existed in Them. And everything that ceased to exist, was born from Them again.

It was so simultaneous that no one could tell the difference. They were nothing yet everything.

Shiva as Purush, was the Supreme Soul, and Shakti as Prakriti, was His Essence.

Shiva as Panchakshar, was the Master of the Five Elements, and Shakti as Sarvabhooteshwari, was the Goddess of All Elements.

Shiva as Aadiyogi, was the First Guru even before Time, and Shakti as Aadya, was existent much prior to Time.

Ardhanarishwar - The Half Man and Half Woman, but the complete Supreme Soul. They are indeed One and the Same.
