"Holy shit you did it!" Regulus shouted over all the noise. He wrapped his arms around his friends.
Barty grinned, "I didn't think this would ever happen."
Evans eyes were wide in terror though, "I forgot about the Gryffindors" He whispered to Barty. He was trying hard to keep his breaths steady, but worry flooded his mind, overwhelming him. He began to hyperventilate and his surroundings went white.
The next thing he knew, he was in a bedroom, sitting on the floor. Next to him was his sister Pandora.
"Dora where are we?" He asked. His head was spinning, and it hurt like hell. "Where is Barty and Reg?"
"We're in a bedroom in Mary's house. Barty and Regulus went to get you water." She said in her soft voice, which didn't hurt his head at all.
"Can you tell me what happened earlier? After you kissed Barty?" She asked, running a hand through her brothers hair.
"I'm so scared..." Evan mumbled, leaning into Pandora's shoulder. "What if the Gryffindors tell everyone at Hogwarts and someone tells mom and dad?"
Pandora smiled sadly, "I'm sorry. Dealing with that must be stressful, but they won't tell anyone I promise you, and if they do, I will personally murder every one of them." She said.
"How can you know?"
"I don't know them too well, but it would be hypocritical of them to out you. They're friends with Marlene, and I'm pretty sure something is going on between Remus and Sirius." She said with a smile on her face.
Evan wanted to laugh, but knew it would hurt, "Also Potter seems to have a hard on for Regulus."
That seemed to calm Evan down a lot before his friends came back in. "I brought some ibuprofen" Barty announced a little too loud, making Evan wince. "Sorry." He whispered.
"Mary was nice enough to dig through her parents medicine cabinet for us" Regulus said, and they handed Evan a glass of water and two small red pills. He took them and practically chugged down the water, feeling better already.
"I'm sorry for freaking out guys..." He mumbled.
"It's okay to be afraid, especially for things like this, people aren't the most accepting." Pandora consoled.
"Do you guys wanna ditch this place and go to my house? I'm sure my father isn't home, he's always too busy at the ministry." Barty offered and the others agreed.
They went back to the living room where everyone else was and found Dorcas to tell her they were leaving. Almost everyone was asleep by now, James and Sirius were cuddling on a sofa next to Lily and Remus. Mary, Marlene, and Dorcas all sat on another sofa talking to each other quietly.
"Don't have too much fun with your girlfriend." Barty winked at her.
"Merlin, shut up!" She smacked him.
"Bye guys! I hope you all had fun" Mary waved, and had to hold Marlene back from tackling them.
Eventually they were able to leave, and they took the knights bus to Barty's house. All the lights were off, and the house was dull and lifeless.
"I realize you guys have never been here before..." Barty mumbled, turning on the first light he found. It flickered dimly before turning off. "Great another bulb is out. Lumos." His wand illuminated the small area around him.
"This place makes Grimmauld place look like a happy home." Evan nudged Regulus in the side, who sneered.
"I'd rather have a neglectful parent than Walburga any day." Barty frowned. "We're all so fucked up."
"I'm sorry you live like this Barty." Pandora said softly, which made Barty smile sadly.
"I have you guys and Hogwarts. I'll be fine." He smiled, "Lets go eat Junk food and watch some dumb muggle rom coms!" He suggested, dragging them upstairs through the darkness. The house looked absolutely trashed. A dim light in his bedroom still worked, plus he managed to steal a muggle television one day when he attempted to run away and ultimately ended up coming home. He managed to sneak it inside without his father noticing (which wasn't hard) and his father never looked into his room. He was always too busy at the ministry to come home, and he would spend all his time home in his own room, the kitchen, or the living room, never noticing everything wrong with the rest of the house.

Fun never lasted long for Regulus. He knew any time he had fun, fate just had to balance it out with something terrible. It happened every time without fail. When he got home, Everyone was there. And he meant everyone. Lucius, Bellatrix, Narcissa, Voldemort, and all the death eaters waited for him in the kitchen. He tried to act like he wasn't terrified, but it was hard with everyone staring at him. He practiced for this day, but never thought it would come so soon. The privileges of being a black...
"I decline." Regulus spoke with a steady voice.
"Whatever do you mean boy? You are passing up this opportunity? Do you realize who you are talking to?" Voldemort asked. Everyone stared at him. That's when he realized his father was in the room, a look of disgust on his face. Regulus had never seen him more disappointed. He expected that from his mother, but him...
"Yes my lord, but with all due respect, I think I am far too young, and its unfair for all your other members who had to or still have to wait until they are of age. I don't think I should get these privileges even as the heir to the black household." Deep breaths Regulus reminded himself as he tried not to shiver every time he made eye contact with the man. Regulus had seen him many times before from afar. He watched him rise to power over the years, and watched as the attractive man slowly seemed to become less and less human through the years.
"Of course my boy, but I think you are far more mature than most are at your age, and everyone here agrees that you are ready to become a death eater, even in the inner circle." Voldemort said.
Before Regulus could react and try to say no, he heard Lucius mumble something under his breath, and Regulus knew what was coming. A shiver ran down his spine and suddenly he couldn't do anything. He heard his voice, but it wasn't him speaking. He felt movement, but it wasn't him initiating it. Even in this state of dissolution, he could still feel the immense pain as Voldemort spoke the incantation, seemingly injecting it into Regulus's veins. Regulus focused on the incantation though, he had a plan, he just needed to remember everything Voldemort did to him. His vision started to go blurry, his hearing failing. It hurt so much, but Regulus struggled to stay conscious until it was over.
"Well done my boy. Most pass out from the pain during this process, I can tell you will serve me well." Voldemort smiled eerily.
"Yes my lord." Regulus said, but he didn't say it. He didn't want to say it. He could feel himself falling in and out of consciousness, but his body stayed still, complying until Voldemort was gone. Once he was alone with Lucius, what seemed like hours later, it could have been, regulus had no way of knowing; Regulus felt a jolt through his body before he fell to the floor. He coughed a few times before pushing himself up, trying his best to look composed.
"Why would you do that Lucius?" He sneered weakly.
"I knew you wouldn't say yes, I was just helping you." Lucius said innocently. "You cant have your mother finding out you're secretly a faggot and a blood traitor, would you?" Lucius cooed.
"I am neither of those and you know that! you almost stalk me at school. Its creepy." Regulus said.
"Oh but you are. I've seen you with McKinnon and Evans, and don't pretend like you tried to hide that thing with Crouch. You are disgusting." Regulus didn't know how to respond. He had no idea how Lucius knew that, there was no way he used occlumency without Regulus noticing, and he definitely didn't go to the new years party. Unless there was a spy, there was no way of him knowing.
A spy... That seemed like the most logical answer, knowing Lucius, he could intimidate anyone, or just imperious them into doing what he wanted. He has before, but who could he have convinced to do that?
