63. Kiss Me

James walked into the common room with Remus and Peter to see the entire common room decorated brightly, food and drinks organized on tables along the walls, and the whole space cleared out for people to gather. small firework spells went off in the center of the room as he walked in, and all sorts of people were congregated throughout the common room, socializing with each other instead of trying to hide Barty and Evan were making out in a corner, Pandora was talking to some Ravenclaw boy with messy hair that James had seen her within the corridors often, along with Dorcas and Marlene. The whole large room was crowded, but Sirius and Regulus were nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Pads and Regulus?" James asked, getting a shrug from Remus.

"They were here setting up your party." Peter said.

From the boy's staircase emerged Sirius, dressed as extravagant as ever, walking beside...

"I'm gonna faint," James's face flushed red, "Regulus got the Sirius treatment."

Regulus was already the most beautiful thing James had ever laid eyes on, and that beauty was amplified by a hundred with his sharp fox eye makeup, and his silk shirt that was open backed, leaving nothing to the imagination.

James just gaped at Regulus, unable to form words until Regulus slapped him in the face, lightly of course because he wasn't that evil.

"Earth to James, hi, hello." He smiled, dark red lipstick covering his lips.

"Hello beautiful." James muttered and kissed him on the jaw, not wanting to ruin the makeup, "You're gonna make people jealous of me, I mean who could resist all of this." James motioned to Regulus's entire body.

"You're overexaggerating. You know the entire female population of this school would pounce on you if they were given a chance." Regulus said. He knew now firsthand how crazy some girls were for James Potter. Nw that he was publicly out, he got a lot od mean comments whispered about him in the corridors, Things like 'I didnt know Potter was a fag, the other guy isnt even hot, he should have gone for SIrius' or 'James deserves so much better' They knew regulus was arrested, andthey all figured he was a death eater.

Speaking of death eaters, Regulus's arm was healing excruciatingly slow. Much slower than a normal wound would. It had stopped bleeding and the swelling had started to calm down, but Regulus hadnt had the courage to look at the mark under the bandages yet.

"You're still the most gorgeous person in the room. Maybe even the whole world." James traced his fingers up and down Regulus's bare spine.

"Maybe? What is that supposed to mean?" Regulus teased.

"What if you have a secret, even hotter brother?" James asked, "Because so far you and sirius have gotten pretty lucky despite all that inbreeding." James joked.

"Don't pretend like your family isn't intertwined in the inbreeding." Regulus said. "We could be distant cousins."

"One of my relatives married one of yours like literally a billion years ago. It doesn't count. You and Barty are more closely related, and you and evan are practically cousins."

"Oh shut up." Regulus placed a kiss on James's cheek, leaving a faint lipstick mark there.

"Alright boys, stop flirting for a moment. Can I steal the birthday boy?" Lily interrupted

"I suppose." Regulus placed another kiss on James's jaw, "Just so they know youre mine." He whispered.

"Get over here loverboy." Lily grinned and pulled James to the center of the room. "I'm really proud of you, y'know that?" She asked.

"Me too Lils. You and Mary are wonderful for each other." He smiled.

"Let's hear it for the birthday boy!" She shouted to the crowd surrounding them. the room erupted in applause and "Happy birthday"s

"That's my best friend!" Sirius screamed.

James stepped back into the crowd with a grin on his face. On his way back to his friends, he was stopped by some ravenclaw girl. "Are you actually dating that Slytherin fag? Someone like you deserves so much better." She caressed his bicep, which he shook off with disgust.

"Yes I am dating Regulus  and he is on a completely different level than people like you." He sneered and walked off. He never noticed before, but the way people looked at Regulus was disgusting. They talked about him like a criminal in a newspaper, or like a piece of gun they stepped on in the road. They didn't care to look beyond the surface level. To them, Regulus was the kid who missed half the year then got arrested on campus with dementors present.

"There's the birthday boy! Get over here!" Barty held his arms open. James ran in for a dramatic hug with Barty, "My husband is back from war!" He enthusiastically kissed James on the cheek.

"Okay that's enough Barty, get off of him." Regulus said, shoving Barty away.

"He used to make out with me and pretend it was you." Barty slurred with a grin on his face

"How are you already wasted? The party just started." Regulus sighed, "Evan! Please come take care of your boyfriend!"

"I love you so much." James placed kisses all over Regulus's face. They were laying in James's bed. The party was still somehow going on, but James was tired and all he wanted was to sleep.

When he woke up, Sirius was standing outside with his arms crossed.

"What's wrong pads?" James yawned.

"You slept with my brother in my bedroom!?" Sirius exclaimed.

"Yeah? Where else am I supposed to sleep?"

"Don't lie James. You both left the party early. I can't believe you're just tainting my baby brother in my bedroom of all places." Sirius wiped a fake tear dramatically.

"We were tired. You know it's not like that Sirius. We were both very much clothed the whole night." James raised his arms in surrender.

"Yeah whatever you say you brother fucker." Sirius shook his head.

"Shut the fuck up." Regulus mumbled from the bed, "some of us just like to sleep with their lovers. I know you won't relate you horny fucker."

"Wow, take that back." Sirius placed an offended hand on his heart.

"We all know you're a whore for moony." Peter called from his bed.

"You guys are so mean to me I'm going to report you to Minnie!" He ran for the door.

"You wouldn't dare!" James got up and sprinted after his best friend.

"They're going to wake up the whole house." Peter chuckled.

"Do they do that a lot?" Regulus asked. Peter nodded.

"Where's Remus?" Regulus asked.

"The great hall. It's almost the full moon, and when he gets hungry he doesn't have the patience to wait for us." Peter explained.

"You think moony could use a little extra help on the full moons? I turn into a cat." Regulus suggested.

"You'd have to consult with the rest of them. Sirius might call an official marauders meeting to contemplate it." Peter stood up from his bed and neatly made it. He was the only person in the dorms who ever cared enough to.

"That sounds interesting enough. I'll go harass Sirius about it." Regulus got out of James's bed and headed out.

idk i got nothing to say. Ive been sick the past week and a half and ive been so exhausted. I hope this chapter doesnt completely suck
