Chapter 36 - False Alarm

I am not sure how much time has passed, but I currently find myself sitting in a cramped and isolated prison cell. I have this contraption around my neck that stops me from using my abilities and sends a high voltage shock if I even try. If I didn't know any better I would think I was back at Hydra.

 After we were arrested, Wanda and I were separated and I have not been able to communicate with her telepathically. They have brought me out and done scans on me to try to understand the chip in my head and reconnect the device. They have also connected me to a couple of devices that have have tried to reconnect the link by electro shock. It was the worst, but thankfully it was not successful. Ross was extremely upset that he was not able to use the mind control device on me.

One positive I am taking from this is that I have my memories back fully now. Being by myself has help me take the time to fully put together the missing pieces I had in my memories. I am also lucky the electro shocks didn't scramble my brain again. Although I am confident that the device Ross has won't work, that won't guarantee that there isn't another one that will. The only solution is to try and take the chip out, but with the whole team divided, I am not sure where I can go to do this.

I am brought out of my thoughts as I hear the alarms begin to blare and I hear what sounds like fighting outside my prison cell. I am not able to see anything but I hear groans of men in pain.

"Y/N?" I hear.

"Ria?" I say as I can recognize her voice. She finally turns the corner and I see her. My eyes begin to well up with tears as I am so happy to see her.

"Y/N what have they done to you? Give me a second I will get you out." She has a key card that she uses to open my cell door and comes running towards me. She undoes my hand cuffs then removes the thing around my neck. As soon as I am free I give her no time and I wrap her up in my arms.

"Ria I missed you so much. Thank you for coming back for me." I say as I am not able to hold back my tears any longer.

"Y/N I missed you so much! Listen we have to get out of here as quickly as possible ok. Are you ok to walk?" Maria says as she pulls me back to look at me.

"Yea Ria, but we have to get Wanda."

"Y/N, Nat is getting her now. We have to go back to the jet, we will meet everyone there. We have to go now."

I slowly get up as my body is sore. Maria helps to hold me up and we begin to walk down a hall. I see men laid out on the ground. We turn into another hall and we see three guards headed towards us with their weapons aiming right at us. They are getting ready to shoot but I quickly throw them back with my power. That took a lot out of me and I fall to the ground.

"Y/N are you ok. You have to take it easy, your body is still recovering. C'mon hold on to me." Maria picks me up and wraps my arm around her. She holds me by the waist and we start walking down the hall again. We continue down a couple more halls and I see Steve and Bucky coming down a different hall with Yelena, Kate, Clint, Sam, and Lang. We all turn one more corner and I see the quinjet. We enter quickly but I don't see Wanda or Nat.

"Guys, where is Nat and Wanda?" I ask worriedly.

"We lost comms with her about 5 minutes ago. We just wanted to get everyone we could back to the jet before I went to go look." Steve replies as he is getting ready to head back.

"I'll go with you." I say as I stand up still a bit weak but I won't let that get in the way from saving them.

"No Y/N I think it is better if you stay here." Bucky says as he grabs my shoulder.

"I am going-..." I snap back but am cut off by her voice.

"Y/N?" I turn and there she is. I run to her and hug her like I've not seen her in years. I hear her begin to sob against me.
