Aether: I don't know. I found this when Stormterror flew off in the forest I was in.
Siegfried: Do you know why it was in the forest?
Aether: I don't know, but I did see someone talking to it. They look like a bard, but I couldn't get closer to see them clearer.
Siegfried: Bard...
Jean: Well, this crystal is embedded with some kind of power... Lisa, are you able to analyze it?
Lisa: I can see the impurities, but upon further inspection... No, I'm sorry. The crystal is covered in an unknown impurity I have never seen. Give me some time to look through the restricted sections in the library to see if there's any records that matches the description.
Jean: Right. I'll leave the research to you then, Lisa.
Lisa: Understood. I'll notify you all if I make progress.
Siegfried While you look into that, I figure out the cause of our Stormterror.
Jean: Who are they?
Siegfried: The enemy of the deep, the Abyss Order are the ones pulling the strings.
Jean: The Abyss Order!?
Lisa: Now it makes sense the sudden change in Mondstadt.
Aether: Abyss Order? Who are they?
Siegfried: An ancient enemy of Teyvat. They're monsters that seeks to end all life in Teyvat and assimilate it to the world like theirs. They are the enemy of every nation and Archon.
Lisa: The Abyss Order have been around for a millennia. The first major event that they participated in was the Cataclysm.
Paimon: You mean that horrible event that destroyed Khaenri'ah...!
Aether: I need an update on this.
Siegfried: It's a long one, but the shortest I can condense is that it was an event when an enemy not originate Teyvat appeared and caused destruction and madness upon its wake. It was so powerful and evil that it killed five of the original Archons before it was finally defeated by the legendary Adeptus, An Bai.
Lisa: And the Abyss Order supported in its destruction. Khaenri'ah is one of the results of that monster's everlasting mark on Teyvat.
Jean: That was 500 years ago, and Teyvat has not fully recovered.
Siegfried: Some of its remnants still linger in the world, corrupting everything in its vicinity. But, it's been long since there was any major news of it that the younger generation don't remember it. The Paladins originally were created to seek out and destroy the monster's remnants, but after 200 years has passed, their goal changed and well, was disbanded.
Aether: But, you've been calling it or monster, does it have a name?
Paimon: Aether, Paimon has a reason why we don't say the monster's name.
Aether: There's a reason?
Jean: Yes. It's a taboo to speak or utter its name.
Aether: A taboo...!
Lisa: Yes. There are records of people saying its name and well, the result aren't nice.
Siegfried: If you mean people turning into eldritch monsters that can destroy a mini city, then yes, the results aren't nice.
Aether: Wait, then do the books know its name?
Lisa: Indeed, and its curse is terrifying. What it thrives on is existence being known. When its name is written on a paper, the person who reads its name will be cursed. It's like an info hazard where it grows and grow stronger the more the people know its name.
Siegfried: That's why it is forbidden to say or utter its name as it will bring destruction to you and your close one. You can say it is Teyvat's boogeyman.
Aether: So, am I not affected by it?
Siegfried: As long you didn't read a book that has its name on it, you're fine.
Aether: Phew.
Paimon: But, now that we know the Abyss Order is behind it, what are they after? Why would they need Stormterror?
Siegfried: They're probably after "that."
Aether: What's "that?"
Lisa: You see, the monster was powerful, too powerful for the gods to beat. The hero, An Bai, figured out its weakness and severed nine tails that were the source of its power.
Siegfried: And these tails were indestructible. Not even Celestia could destroy them as these tails represent every evil that exist.
Aether: Every... evil...
Jean: Every. So evil that the Archons have to seal it away in secret locations so that the Abyss Order won't resurrect the monster that almost destroy Teyvat. Only the Archons know where the seal is.
Aether: And the Abyss Order is using Stormterror to find it. Wait, since Stormterror is one of the Four Winds, then...
Siegfried: They're after our Archon, Barbatos...!
Jean/Lisa: !
Paimon: Oh no...! If they're looking for Barbatos, then their trying unseal it!
Jean: This is bad, if the Abyss Order were to located Barbatos, then Mondstadt- no the world will be in danger.
Siegfried: This is a national level threat, but if we suddenly send out a warning, the people will panic.
Lisa: Ok, while we think of that, I'll take this crystal an- ouch!
Jean: Lisa! Are you alright?
Lisa: I'm fine, but the impurities of the crystal hurt me when I got close.

Lisa: It appears that it reacts to Visions. The impurities and the elemental energy we embody repel each other.
Aether: But I was fine holding it.

Siegfried: Since none of can go near it, Aether will hold on to it.

Jean: Now, we must find the Abyss Order and stop them before they can find the Archon. I'll have to send in your daughters, Sir Siegfried.

The meeting adjourned and they leave separately to find some clues on the Abyss Order.
Siegfried went to an alleyway and after entering deeper to it, he call out someone in the shadows.
Siegfried: Find the Abyss Order. When you find them, interrogate them for information. If they refuse...
Siegfried face was filled with no emotion as he cold declare.
Siegfried: Torture them.
???: As you wish.
The shadows move and Siegfried return back to the streets of Mondstadt.
