"Argghhh!" James exclaimed after he fell on the ground.
"Put your mind into this, avoid being drifted by your thoughts." Geronimo stood straight after he swiped his son down with his leg.
"I'm doing my best."
"This isn't your best, I've already seen it. You are being distracted." His father pressed on his words.
"I can't focus. The events that occurred two days ago still confuses me." James rolled over on his chest and rested his body on the forest floor. He refused to face him or even look in his eyes, he knew that all he feel is the same as the other day—disappointment.
"Stand."
"My mind is seeking for answers I will impossibly get." He sat up, facing his father. "What's the point of doing this, father?" James asked. "We all know that I cannot do more that a simple Agua Blitz or Agua Surge. I am the weakest in the tribe and still I am being burdened by the fact the grandson of its chief. I will only disappoint you... There's no reason for me to train."
"Stand."
"But Fathe–"
"Stand!"
James did what his father said and stood back up. His father ignored his question and continued to throw his punches and kicks at him
"Stand."
"Stand, son!"
"Stand!"
"You can do more than that, stand!"
"Do not let me take you down!"
"Fight back!"
"Stand!"
His father hardly gave him time to catch his breaths. James fell many times, more than the fingers on his hands and toes on his feet. Almost reaching his limit, but his father kept pulling him back up with his words.
"Father, I can't."
"No!" He exclaimed. "Don't let your mind dictate what you can do! Exceed itself, grow stronger than what it expects!"
Geronimo dashed towards his son and attacked him mercilessly. However, instead of running away, James dodged all of his father's attacks and tried to counter them, only to fail and fall back down.
"Stand."
"But father, I can no–"
"Son, stand!"
James looked up, he saw through his father's eyes. His determination exceeds his, overwhelming him.
"He is not mad, not disappointed."
Once more, Geronimo attacked his son, but this time, James performed better and for the first time. He blocked Geronimo's punch and pulled his arm down, taking his father down.
"Impressive."
"Why are you still doing this, father? Even if we all know that I am weaker than my friends, you're still not giving up on me." James asked, panting heavily.
