Chapter 33: Through The Ruins

"Pulsar!" Pulsations once again erupted in his clenched fists, activating his pulses. "Hakyushu: Pulse Piston!" He rapid-fired punches towards Bulls' unguarded body, violently smashing into the streetlamps and ending up on an electric post.

The post pinned Bulls down electrocuting him.

"I'm sorry, you'll die... in a hot... painful way."

Heavily panting for air, Leo rubbed his head after a warm fluid drips down on his cheek, "Congratulations, this wound will give me ten stitches and a beautiful scar." He starts to limp his way back to the Capitol when a gleam strikes his peripherals.

"Stop." Leonardo paused and turned to face the voice.

"You son of a... how many lives do you actually have?"

"We're not yet done." Bulls radiated a blue hue as electricity visibly flows over his wounded body. Hand holding a live power line.

"That's interesting." Leonardo whispers after seeing it.

Bulls dashed towards Leonardo and let out a barrage of punches, "Thanks for making me realize something."

Leonardo also intercepts with his fists. "And what are those?"

"You never listened, you shut yourself in your mind so hard you can no longer hear what your heart yearns!" A blow lands on his cheek. "You said they took your parents' lives, right?"

"Don't dare bring that up."

"They loved you and treated you with love! And after losing them you sought those who took them away, because that's what your mind wants, but that's not what you need!"

"Shut up!" His fist hits Bulls again.

"You want revenge and make them feel what you feel that... you forget what your heart needs!" Bulls lands consecutive punches on Leo's torso. "Companionship, belongingness, acknowledgement! That's the reason why you followed him!"

Leo smashes his back on a concrete pillar, "You will never understand! You lost no one!" Bulls disappeared from his sight.

"No." Right fist tucked in his torso, feet bent, close under Leo's shadow. "I lost my world."

"Bolt Drill."

Leo crashes through the pillar, ending up flying to the Freeman Tower. He spun in the air before violently smashing into the steel railings of the tower.

Bulls quickly jumped up and threw a punch. "Allow me to help you, there's still a chance!"

Leonardo simply dodged it and kicked Bulls, almost pushing him off the tower. "I need no help, I need no saving! I will kill them just like how they killed my parents!" He jumped to the other side of the tower and prepared another attack. "Hakyushu: Pulse Drill!"

Bulls let go from where he was holding and free-fall down the lower level. Leonardo's attack blasted a hole through the side of the tower, causing it to tilt. "No, you have mistaken my intentions, Leo!" He rushed back upstairs and dashed towards his opponent. "I'm not saving you from Agustus... but from your rage!"

"Hakyushu: Ten Pound Bolt Hammer!"

Leonardo dodges and knees Bulls again, "Hakyushu: Pulse Chisel!"
