"He is so tall! I need to leap just to reach the tip of his chin." Bulls bent his knees before leaping forward, trying to punch him in the face but Agustus dodged him with ease. He made another effort, only to fail the second time.
"What's wrong, little guy? Are you tired?"
"Exhausted! I'm tired of the people who keep on oppressing those who can't stand for themselves."
"That's cute. Everyone! I have a big fan here!" Agustus jokingly said while dodging Bulls' punches.
"If I continue missing his punches, I will meet my demise!" Bulls falls hard on the ground. "I am too numb to feel any pain right now. My limbs can still exert efforts but my fingers can no longer feel anything. If my nerves aren't constantly electrified, they wouldn't be clenched."
"Come on, kid. Being meddlesome won't help you." Agustus catches Bulls' fist and flings him to the ground.
Bulls breathes deeply before he pushes himself from the ground. Bluer than ever, the veins from from his fore limbs began to gleam.
"I..."
"I won't..."
"... let you..."
"... hurt anyone..."
"... Again!"
Agustus was about to say something when Bulls hit him straight in the face, strong enough to push him back into a pile of rubble, a few steps behind him.
Bulls landed on his knee, fist steaming as it glows faintly. He raised his head, chasing his breath with his burning lungs, "If those armed soldiers shoot, I won't be able to-" confusion fills his mind, noticing the odd-looking reaction from the soldiers' eyes, "Their eyes are... lifeless, and they stood there stiffly." Rising from his position, Bulls stands on high alert. His fallen ally lies behind him, still breathing but bloodied and unconscious. "Aren't they going to shoot? Not that I am asking for it, but I just punched their leader."
"I like your grit, young boy." The man stands up like nothing happened.
Bulls shrugs it off and turns to face his foe, "I don't know what happened to you back then..." his chest heaves for air. "But what you're doing right now is something unacceptable." He started to move a step closer to the governor.
"Good talk." Agustus slowly stood up from where he was lying. "But what's the use of talking nonsense if you can't protect a single person?" Agustus gently raises his palm, pointing behind Bulls.
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
Bulls stopped and looked back.
"Jessica!"
One of the governor's subordinates wraps his arm around Jessica's arms and pulls her back while aiming a gun straight into her head with the other arm.
Subconsciously engaging his core, Bulls dashed once more, but before he could finish his second stride, his legs froze. "No... not now." He found himself rolling on the muddied ground.
"You know, there's no such thing as freedom..." A voice spoke from behind his back. "... as long as I'm around."
Bulls turns his head to face him, "You motherf-"
Agustus smashes Bulls into the ground, blasting every bit of strength he had away in his fatigued body.
"No!" Jessica exclaims from a distance. She stares at Bulls and Thor, unconscious after the exhaustive battles they had. "It is all my fault."
Laughter and insulting words coming from the enemies echoed all around the place, and the once silent soldiers became loud and lively.
