takemichi had time-leaped back to the future to inform naoto about his progress.
"i'm sick and tired of telling you this, takemichi."
takemichi took a look around.
'i'm back at work again?!' 'wheres naoto?!'
takemichi frantically scrolled through his phone, searching for naoto's number. he saw a sudden notification for a hair salon pop up. "a hair salon?"
he went to the adress and saw a familiar friendly face. "akkun!"
"hey, takemichi. you're kinda early."
takemichi nodded.
"anyway, i called you in cause i'm gonna start cutting hair next month. and you're gonna be my first customer. remember our promise?"
takemichi's eyes swelled at the memory.
"you crying?" akkun chuckled.
"nope." takemichi wiped his eyes with his arm.
takemichi's phone began to ring. it was an unknown number. he picked up. "yeah, whats up?"
a familiar voice was on the other end. "you've succeeded!"
"who's this?"
"you've just come back from the past, right?"
"oh, naoto!"

earlier that day, takemichi had cried tears of joy at hearing hina's alive. he was now crying again. because of her death.
the car was alight. it had all happened again. a strong sense of deja vu took over takemichi. it was all the same. akkun was saying the same things. hina had died again. takemichi had failed.
